I was joining random Baalruns to get some more leveling done. As always, no one wanted to take the spearhead in WS2. Anyway, a Necro and me went to the WP, the necro runs, I tele half a screen when the necro comes running back past me apparently chased by an Extra Fast Pack of Vipers. I get into stunlock, fumble my potions and the ESC key, go into the options menu because I can't click ffs but alas a stray gloam ends my misery. Rebuild no. 5 is already at level 55.

I was helping Gary (on his barb) get Diablo in a public game. Things were going pretty smoothly, no close calls from what I saw bashing through the Venom Lord seal. There was a little bit of a slow down on the way to De Seis with a beefy pack of Venom Lords, etc, but they fell after a little time. Once De Seis was let loose though, everything went to hell. The monsters just weren't dying fast enough and people were scattering. Then Gary got a little lag and died. Luckily I had loot, so I was going to lure the big nasties away from his body and drop a tp and go in another way. Right before I was going to set up the tp, I got some video lag and then BAM! Deeds. I was totally suprised. De Seis managed to kill me in about 1.5-2 seconds even though I had 3k life with bo and max res. Sadly, I never got to see what his mods were that made him so deadly. I lost my skullders, awesome rare zon mf resist ammy, some nice res mf gloves and boots, my 16/17/10 anni...and a vex in my stash that I hadn't muled yet. Not sure if I'm going to rebuild this time.

The resulting charged bolt wave from the aformentioned beetles and the Necros blocking my exit equaled one toasted Barb. Just wasnt fast enough with the ESC key.....RIP big guy..... :P

Starzia was in a public run pouting because we couldn't make room for him in our private runs... Apparently CanadianBeeef did the wp/hostile trick and Starz was feeling bored so he tried to duel, it took 5x10k damage WW to get him, and he only juv'd once, goes to show how much an ES/TK sorc can tank...no one believed his /f m when he first said he got PK'd, but he doesn't seem too annoyed and is taking the opportunity to quit.

Well, I wish I had some great heroic story but I don't. Myself and 4 others were doing the Trav and for what ever reason the game lagged up, I could still hear sounds (my trappers screams of death) but couldn't move. I think I sorta froze myself in disbelief. When the game finally caught up we all were dead and shortly after 1 by 1 we all lagged out(within about 30 seconds). I checkd my friends list and asked him to join my game, he messaged back that it didn't exist. I too will take this as an opportunity to give it a break untill the new ladder season. Thank to all that helped me.

Cause of demise: After Starzia's death I decided I was never going to hit 97, so what's the point of keeping the character alive. Joining PvP games for a few hours I managed to get myself a few ears, and a few fluxes. I dueled Tru-Thump once and won, he ran back to town and conceded. A bit later, after finding people willing to duel few and far between, despite the awesome prize of the #1 sin's ear, I went at it again with thump. This time he managed to close in on me while I was mindblasting, I switched to BoS to try and get some distance between us, but I accidentally got stuck behind one of those puddle things in the blood moor. Bam CS. Juv. CS. Juv. CS I see where this is going and realize that I have crap resists w/o my fade. Try to switch to fade. CS CS. Deeds. Unfortunately he will not profit as much as he would have from my gear, as he dropped from the game before he could loot =(

As 20 cows descended upon me, a split second decision made me kick the power button on my comp. Seconds later i realised that alt-f4 would have been wiser. I had tripped the middle seal, and was going to run past the just spawned pack near DeSeis. I meant to run around them and accidentally ran right into them instead. DeSeis was fanat, and me with no shield. Couldn't drink juvies fast enough, tried to flux but the deeds screen was faster. This was a real "butt of the hand to the forehead" death. Really incredibly stupid. Just the slightest bit of caution and I would have avoided it. But I was in a hurry trying to get past Hell Diablo, playing with one eye on the screen and one eye on the clock. Well, this was my first ever thrower, and I made some minor mistakes along the way. KTA 2.0 was about to look for Tals Tomb, when I went afk to take care of a biological necessity. On return, the screen is in turmoil with 4 death messages from fellow KTAers. The remaining Party got waylaid by no less than 4 bosspacks at the WP of Canyon. They had everything you could hope for, from cold enchanted to extra fast, extra strong, cursed and manaburn. Well, since we had loot on..and I never intended to play the character outside KTA, the surviving Zon, Paladin and Sin attempted to recover items. Wham..dead Zon, Wham dead Sin, wham dead Paladin. LOL's, ROFLs and RIPs from the onlookers. 7 hooded characters in channel afterwards.

While a majority of my skeletons and my mercenary foolishly toiled away at a fallen one I meandered over to the skeletons that were fending off a pack of dark archers and with no time for reaction took a one shotter by the boss. I lost my only MFer, a 6 socket Berserker Axe, 100psn sc, IK Belt, Vipermagi, and Cranebeak among other things. I probably should have transferred them before hand, however I have no friends on Bnet and have to build up some courage to perform a public transfer. This marks the end of my hardcore venture and Diablo II until (if) the next ladder season starts, at which point I'll join the softcore ladder, mostly for dueling purposes as I stand no chance against the uber twinked hardcore duelers.

Cause of demise: was mfing andy in our little priv baal run. was amped but decided to tele anyway. when i got to cat 4, i mistaken tele'd into mummies instead of orbing, and i died in the span of 2 seconds. those of you who know me know that i never set loot. i always thought it was very "unhardcorely" to do that, and i still stand by my decision.

i quit about 3 months ago, came back, and now i quit again. this time i know it will be the end of xeyloderixed. i feel like i've done everything i wanted in this game that is legit.

d2 is a great game, probably the best game i've ever played. i've enjoyed the countless mf runs, although with the advent of 1.10 this is becoming more and more boring.

i am a perfectionist. my first necro, dr_xey, was as near perfect as you can get legitly. when he died i came to the realization that perfection in this game is not about skill: it's about wasting hours and hours of endless mfing. it's not about making the hardest runs (baal): it's about going to the pit and slaying impotent monsters over and over. i quit this time (around 3 months ago) and gave away my mules to the f list.

when i came back, i tried to build another perfect char, but my f list wasn't cooperating. when i left, there was a legit jah rune (which i traded 2ss, 2shako, maras along with other stuff) along with multiple shakos/ss in my mules. i said to my f list that they are free to use them as they wish. but when i came back, not only are the mules empty, i got little to no support from them. there are only two exceptions here (out of the possible 15 or so active on my list), who donated me a bunch of gear (their names not be mentioned here to avoid scandal). basically, what is this game without the f list? it gets old real quick.

and so it ends for me. it was fun while it lasted. last night, i just didn't give the pass to all my mules: i personally dropped all those items to be picked up by one ("not so good", but he is on my f list) friend, and he xfered them to all his mules. i killed all my remaining chars (mostly high lvl mules), and wouldve killed my 1.09 chars except noone has chars to kill em.

actually there's one more thing i wanted to say before i leave: when you quit and come back is where you realize who your true friends are. they aren't the ones that beg you for items or ask you for a rush. they are the ones that are just happy that you're around.

I was clearing the Crypt and ran into a small room to draw my minions in. They got blocked at the door by a couple skeletons and a boss, and also blocked my way out. I wasn't worried until I saw a second boss in the middle of the room and a couple skeletons slowly creeping in the only other door out of the small room, but luckily the boss was moving up toward the door with the others, and not towards me. About 5 things happened within the next 2 seconds and I probably made the wrong choice for each of them. I should've TPed out of there immediately, but I was feeling pretty cocky. By this time they were all amp damaged and I was ready to corpse explose the whole crowd once one of them fell, but then I realized I was within nova range if both the bosses were magically enchanted. I had paltry resistances, and took a step further into the corner before I went to cast the Corpse Explosion, and by this time there was a corpse. I didn't see the skeleton standing behind the semi-transperant wall in the SW corner I was now standing in. I shift-right-clicked a couple times in the crowd and didn't find the corpse. I didn't get off my corpse explosion before he got in a whack to take off 25%, and by the time I realized I was hit he whacked me again. I started to run to the other corner and was glad to see the boss pack still occupied and the other 2 skeletons still struggling to get in the other door. I ran to the other corner and was about to pull a tp, when I got whacked again by another skeleton with a scythe or something cause he hit me from really far away. Now with 25% I hit a Super Potion (had no rejuvinations duh!), and went to pull the tp again and before I could activate it I was slivered and then killed. The funny thing is that I if I would've had my level 1 bone armor active I probably would've survived. All in all, I lost about 430 hit points within about 2.5 seconds from 1 (possibly 2) Nightmare skeletons. From the moment I passed through the door I died within 4 seconds.

I mostly played solo with my 271% MF necro and was doing full clears of every area of the game until I died (playing the game the way it was meant to be played). I was finding a set or unique on almost every level and was quite happy. The skellimancer can be one of the most boring characters if played improperly, but if you are fast on the keys and are always casting curses on different groups and fast to do corpse explosions it's some of the most fun you can have. It was definitely my most fun character yet, and I'm sad to lose him. I might rebuild him for the next ladder season. I'll probably rename him though because naming a necromancer after the Celtic Sun God doesn't seem like a great idea.

Also, think of the irony. My Skelliemance was killed by a skeleton! I can't think of a better way for him to die. It sure seems much better than getting PKed.

I knew I was meat, so I spammed wolves and count it my honour to get a WP open before Duriel decided it was Tinfoot spleen and flava beans.

Travincal solo passworded game. Questing to rid my inventory of the flail. Had dispatched Flamefinger while dogs worked on Icefist or Vilehand. Was going too easy, should have known something weird was going to happen. With all the party up, doing everything by the book, using maul with full health (Bear/oak sage at level 56 was good for 1765 so I'm guessing it was 2000+ at time of death), Icefist or Vilehand falls and Deeds pops up. No lag, no curses present before the death and no sign of the 3rd unique council member. To generate an instant 2000+ damage. . .maybe an exploding death or a corpse exploding ala Nihlathak (Vilehand??). Credit for death went to the Water Watcher!? Bad luck for sure and it has pushed me to try something new. After playing DiabloII from the beginning with a year break between 1.09 and 1.10, I'm going to try my first sorc - hardcore of course. Should keep me busy for an hour and not a minute longer.

No big deal, killed the minions but before I could kill the boss, Andy made her move and in 1 shot, both merc/valk passed away. Try to lure Andy in the ante-room by resurrecting valk ahead of me, but Andy didn't seem to react, and valk didnt attack Andy as well. So I stepped forward, Andy attacks and I had some 1/4 life left, but the next poison attack was lethal. It seemed that she inherited the might aura from the unique boss I didn't kill. Well it all began earlier that day. My bestest friend Paul (*keckleck2) and I have began making hc chars. I was an avenger and he was a cold sorc. We had sailed through the first 4 acts (not counting Dia) with me tanking in the Im' filled CS whilst the sorc and my amp triggering merc sorted out the baddies. So we were confident as we head into the Showdown with big dia. I bunged on my resist light aura as we both had already maxed out fire and we set to work. The gameplan was a simple sorc tp's in statics and then we just chop off his head. As always it did not go to plan and Dia took one look at the sorc with full light and fire resists (but maybe abit low on the old red stuff) and promptly pink lightened her into the deeds screen. My avenger finshed off Dia as luckily the sorc has manadged to fire off enough static to get him down low. Now feeling guilty, I decided to start another char with my now dead sorc as her rebuilds the coldy. This is where the Meph incident began. We sailed up to Meph, my hammerdin firing them off like a pro and In pink lighting style, he took one look at me and gave me a face full of his creamy white death, 2 hits of his lightening type stuff (not even his uber orb thing) and I was down, looking back having poor resists due to the build was most likely the cause for his demise R.I.P

Cause of demise: What can I say? I was on a Baal run, building my necro. I had around 700 life, and max lightning resist. I could handle a couple hits from anything in the throne room. Gloams did pathetic damage to my necro.. or so I thought.

There was a new Baal game, like any other Baal game before it. Tele-sorc rushed to throne, and made a Tp. I waited for others to go in first, to make sure it was safe. Everyone else went in, and then I proceeded through the portal.

I appeared on the other end of the portal, along with 4 other gloams. I was killed in three hits, and my body hit the floor before the tele-sorc could say "2."

I lost a rare +2 necro circlet with + energy and resists, Arm of Leoric, an 'Um'ed Homonculus, Marrowalk boots, Frostburns, upgraded and personalized Nightsmoke, Que Hegans armor, and some other small stuff. Easy come, easy go. :grrr:

Cause of demise: I was having a merry time throwing my nearly maxed frozen orb's and the occasional Thunder Storm, when I died completely by surprise. I thought this character would make it to Hell easy until I walked into the wrong dungeon and died within 2 seconds. I was in the Kurast Bazaar, and went into one of those 6 dungeons while amp damaged 2 seconds after my friend went down. When I got there I didn't see the door I came in or my character but 4 champion Wailing Beasts on top of me, and by the time I glanced at my health it was only at a quarter left. I think I instinctually tried to Teleport, but they must've interupted it. Then I reached for alt-F4 and hit it 1/10 of a second after I died. Corpse wan't looted. Lost nothing good except some Hotspur's. Luckily my friend got out.

I learned 2 things. Don't go into a new area like that while cursed especially those particular dungeons. Don't go into a dungeon 2 seconds after your friend goes into it, but do it simulataneously just in case the monsters rush the door and he bails.

I might rebuild her after I make a couple other characters, but I'll put a little more emphasis on Lightning before I max the Orb just to change things up.

Cause of demise: Was so happy lvling after getting my HOZ, and finding my first ever soj (had lvled from 76-84 in a few hours), I decided to help ppl kill hell Diablo. 1st mistake.
Luckily for me, I have 2 comps and joined with an IK barb on the other computer for bo. I bo'd everyone at ROF wp, then with my pally, went past Hadriel. There was another pally, a necro, an asn, and someone else. I didn't really take much notice. 2nd mistake. Suddenly 3 large groups of oblivion knights started pounding me. I retreated slightly only to see a mass of bone spirits coming my way. Brain being dulled from playing too much, it failed to register the cause of the spirits until I heard the hostile noise, and the other pally in the game screamed pk pk. I set a tp, as still didn't realize the danger. It was too late, as 1 or 2 bone spirits hit and ate 3000 life. Luckily, my barb was in town so I could loot myself, once the nasty necro left. Although the necro brought back a 90+ sorc to try and trap the corpse but failed. Got back my soj! But lost annihilus and 40% Gheeds.
Oh well. Cleglaw_Reborn has been reincarnated as Cleglaw_Returns and will be bigger and better than before as he has been vaccinated at birth against bone spirits.

When I died, i had that damn escape menu up, but i hit "esc+up+enter" bringing me into... options. Yay! Energy shield held me up long enough to try again, but as i got it over exit, i died.
It was a fun run, but I managed to lose most of my good gear again, still enough left for one last try though! However, seeing how my last TWO sorcs, orb and fire, both died on nightmare baal before seeing any mf action, I think ill build a dueler first...

I thought I'd do some River of Flame runs with my Javazon for a change, hoping to find a Caduceus suitable for a runeword. Started a game, checked the monster types in RoF - no LI so everything was well. Got my Barb in from second comp to give BO and started mowing everything down. Few LF to thin the crowds, some LS to soften packs and CS to deal with the remnants was good fun - until I got to Hephasto.

His mods didn't seem to be particulary nasty, only Might/EF, so I thought I'd join my Valk and Merc in the whacking action and CSed away at him. At this point some things happened very fast. A stray regurgitator fired at my Merc, prompting him to run away from Hephasto, my BO wore off and Hephasto deprived of my Merc apparently thought I was a much more viable target than my stupid Valkyrie. *Smack* 3/4 of my life were gone and I tried to Juv and run away at the same time. After a 4 month break from the game, I decided to give it another go, thinking that most of my bad habbits from softcore would no longer be with me, and they werern't....at first. I played very cautiously, staying back whenever I felt I was out of my depth, not rushing at all. However, I thought I'd go into act1 Hell for the first quest, knowing that my resistances would be very low. So we got the quest, then someone said "Lets do Andy"....next thing I new we were all getting rushed (bad softcore habbit :() we got passed Andy with little trouble, then someone made a tp to the Claw Viper Temple Level 3, where I was then ambushed by the lightning enhanced snake down there (I forget his name) I tried saving and exiting, but it was just not to be :( not bad considering that was my first HC character in 4 months, and I had no Elite, and even little average gear :)

Mullbery had been tanking everything we encountered so far including duriel and diablo. As we find the passage to the plains of despair we split up, me and sorc goes one way, the rest in another direction.

Within 30 seconds the "HERE" chat poped up and i turned towards the other gang. As i do this i notice the sorc running (out of mana?) with a big pack of those balrog like creatures after her. She is past em, but i decide to turn back and help her anyway. When i get up to her position the demons charge me instead. Now i concider The balrog thingies to be the weakest monsters in the game, yet they somehow surprised me. BAAAM BAAAAM BAAAM. 1600 life down to zero in an instant. I didnt even have the time to press 1234.

no for the odd part. The sorc throws 1 orb....and they all die? Im still confused abou tit. what did these low easy to kill HP bastards have in their breakfast that diablo didnt?

Party member got loot, he looted and left. Never to be seen again. Another guy from the party tried to help me with new gear, almost forcing me to accept stuff. I gave him an Annhilus charm for beeing nice. Guess who would have gotten that one if he had return some semi crap items?

Cause of demise: Second level of Worldstone keep. A Boss pack of those winged women who wail when they die and shoot weird red blotches at you (I forget their name at the moment). Well, they were off the screen shooting at me, and I didn't think much of them, then I noticed it was a boss pack. My life went from full to nothing in less than a tenth of a second, not even time enough to hit a full rejuv, which I had plenty of. Its a cold, cruel world sometimes. :) Not sure how I could have avoided this one. My life was well over 600, so maybe a little more in that area would have helped, but I had only a couple scares in the past so it seemed my life level was adequate. Apparently not. The only real way to keep your HC character safe is to NEVER LEAVE TOWN. EVER. I must advise against this at all times.

Alas, my hot chick was finally going for the Ancients (I mostly solo at high levels). Despite her crappy main attack, blades with venom and no static or crushing blow, she managed to nail off the WW guy before fluxing - having lost the blessed aim merc and shadow master. I ran the pit & other hot spots, and figured I'd go after the boys one more time. Lo & behold, the two remaining are still running, and I thought, 'hey, she has a good chance now, despite the mods'.

So now with 3 to 2, I manage to kill the leaper, and only Madawac the throwing guy is left. My gang backs him into a corner, and despite having to chug rev potions I manage to whittle him down (LI and FI, so it's pure damage). I note that whenever he hits me with the axes, I get the burn animation - but my res is 75% with Fade, so I don't think it's a big deal. Finally I get him stuck against a pillar and am running Blade Sentry traps into him, and he croaks. Bang! I hear the level sound, but suddenly see "your deeds". So even though I leveled, he took all 3 of us out with his FE explosion, with me at a distance, full health, 75% immune and 23% DR.

I guess I need to be even more aware of the blast radius for bosses...

Asian classic. Several, mostly TEB people in the game, one of them lvl 32 hammerdin asks if anyone would do CS with him. Oh well, at 24 it was too tough for me, but I got tan-do-liga and steelclash since then, had maxed fire res and other quite good too, so I figured I'll try, nice & slow. Guess what. First big monster pack, I start whacking away and... my life bulb drops 4 times in almost immediate succesion from 360 to zero, deeds. Must have been Iron Maiden. What really gets me is the fact that I've done normal cs in LOD with a barb the day before, and he didn't take any noticeable damage from IM, dealing at least the same amount of damage as the deceased pala ! I dont get it, but it plain sucks :(

Well what can I say. It finally happened. I had been doing Baal runs for 10-20 times now without too much problem, even dared to do lots of teleporting in there. And then the tragedy struck.

I was starting another Baal run, had my shields up and went to the last waypoint. Walked across the bridge when halfway over I felt that it might be a little laggy and decided to put the ping visible (/fps). Just to be safe. Good idea, except that I stopped in the middle of the bridge and started typing... I had typed something like /fp when suddenly I start getting fire from those damn Black Souls from the other side of the bridge. I had no time to react, but good old Oculus teleported me to the other side, in the corner. This might have been a good thing except that there was a pack of Frenzied Ice Spawns right there. One of them exploded and I was killed. Probably I would have gotten killed by the Black Souls, anyway in ½ second, but the spawns beat them to it.

Cause of Demise: I had a party under hostile, was missing one guy. A level 60 sorc enters the game and hostiles me. I deceide to skip to the arcane, see the level 60 sorc who was typing and though "what the hell". Switched to my crap "Malice" Hammer, charged a couple of times, didnt really scratch her, he stops typing, fireballs me once or twice and I die. Can't really complain as I knew that it was dumb, but I could care less. Easy come, easy go. Highest kill with this char was a level 25, and lowest a level 10. Considering the absolute crap stuff I had for gear I think it is amazing that I got any kills at all, let alone that level 25. 23 ears in total for this run. 120 max PvP per charge.... absolute sucko.


So today I found an ethereal Great Maul. I'll imbue it with my Sorc and hope for perfect mods...

Cause of Demise: I was Rushing my pally and some other people with my sorc, everything was going fine when this lvl 76 sorc comes in and parties.
I tp her so she can come help kill things in the sanctuary, im gettin hit by some monsters but not really getting hurt. Then she hostiles and i die as soon as she does. My Hostile Chicken nor my Life Chicken had time to activate. Well something activated and took me out of the game but i wasn't dead or alive. I had no ghost nor a body. I went on my pally on the other d2 acct to see what happened. The sorc did Chain lightning and the tppked me.
She said she had lightning faceted things and lightning grand charms. So now when i am on my character screen my sorc doesnt have a ghost and when i go into a chat room there is no ghost neither, idk what happened there but oh well. What can you do when people have to resort to such hacks as TPPK to kill someone. What happened to the good old times when dueling use to be the only way to kill someone.

Frankly this was one of those deaths that just left me starring at the screen like WTF happened! Toolin along with my 75 Strenght no dex all Vita Snapper lvling in Act 3 and 4. I had max BO, and it was refreshed constantly so it didnt fall I garuntee. Anyway my resists werent perfect i have 75/75/50/40 which isnt terrible.

I hit this pack of Mawfeinds in Act 4 and 1 WW later I am dead!!! i didnt even kill one monster and only took them to half life on that one pass. While sitting there in total shock I check the bosses mods. LE/FE......Now I know that he could hurt a bit but not kill in one pass without me killin him.

Almost makes me want to get in Hell at 45 now as Act 1 Hell is safer than that..........

Cause of Demise: Bored looking for A5 quest games, so I join an AB game and end up helping a level 28 spearazon take out big D. CS goes well, Diablo spawns. Spearazon is doing just a little damage to Diablo with Jab but has nice leech, so I decide (unwisely) to jump in with a little level 1 vengeance. Still no big deal, Diablo starts to die a little quicker. Whenever it looks like there's trouble, I simply back off, HB the spearazon, and resume. Diablo decides to hit me with the fire hose. 75 res and over 300 life less than two seconds later I get the deeds. Fortunately, ABers are great people and loot and return all my gear.

The worst part is that this is for the LOL group, which is now hanging around level 40. I got to catch up in the next 3 days.

I was collecting the parts for Kilham's Will and went to the Flayer Duengon to get his brain. I was doing fine until i got a killer lag spike. I would have left like I alway do during lag. However, the game froze up and i could not escape. I came back and during the freeze and my merc must have killed some undead flayers and the explosions killed me. I never got to see my deeds screen because the lag droped me a few secs after I saw my body. I have realized no matter how good a build you have, you can never beat lag. I was doing really good - kicking arse in a series of Tristram runX games, until a certain loser decided to join. We had almost finished, and I was studying my character screen (investing stat points). All of a sudden, not seeing who, a stream of bone spirits came flying at me. :O I had heard the story before, but I was so distracted and furthermore didn't believe it was really happening that by the time I mobilized myself to save+exit, I got hostiled, and SLAM.

Yeah I know, its a low lvl, but I'm starting to reconsider starting this whole hardcore thing if you got bs like this happening.

Cause of Demise: Well, I'd finally gotten my MF sorceress up and running and things were going beautifully. I'd already found more items in two days worth of playing than in all my time spent playing with my necromancer, JF_Sebastian. So I'm MFing and I teleport down to Durance 3 and I start to stick it to Mephy with the Frozen Orb. Suddenly, I notice that he's not taking any damage, so I immediately save & exit because it usually means a ping spike and I always exit if I notice that my connection's acting up.

There's a lot of lag getting out, if you know the kind. I sat staring at a black screen for about two whole minutes and then I got the "Please Wait...," which followed up with me getting kicked off Battle.net. I try to log back on but it gives me some spiel about my modem not functioning. I try again and it lets me back on and I'm sitting there staring at a dead level 80 sorceress. What bothers me is that I never even got to see the Deeds screen. This was no honourable death. This was no death at all. I'm hoping she'll get rerolled or something, but somehow I have the feeling that this is just a cruel act of fate.

I lost some valuable gear as well. Most noteably: Stormshield, my only Annihilus (which I found yesterday to add insult to injury), pair of near 30 Nagels, 37% chancies, Nat's Boots, some nice charms, Doombringer on the mercenary, and some other things.

I suppose I'll have to keep MFing with the necro in order to gain back what I lost and possibly rebuild. Typically I hate sorceresses. I absolutely hate them, but for a couple of days it was freaking cool to be able to teleport around with impunity. If you've never maxed TK or Teleport, you should try it.

The Ladder Reset. I wanted to retire my old friend properly, instead of letting him waste away in the filthy quagmire of the 1.10 non-ladder pool. So into the great marsh he went, armed only with his trusty wand and Trang-Oul's guise (save the belt), and he assaulted the hordes of fetish head on. Somewhere in the backround, perhaps on some distant desktop or media player, Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" could be heard playing loud and clear. The battle was drawn out and lengthy, but in the end 'Curse could not hold his own against such an army. His deeds of valor will in deed be remembered.

I'm the top of the ladder, the only 82 on USEast. I'm doing Hell Baals, which were going really poorly. I almost died about 9,000 times. Then, when we got to the easy part on a run right after I turned 82, I was careless and didn't have potions. Baal hit me with his cold wave a few times too many. When I realized I wouldn't make it and hit the escape key, it was already too late and I watched myself die. It was entirely my fault and I feel like a complete idiot.

EDIT: Upon re-reading this post, it seems really fragmented and poorly written. Operating on 0 hours of sleep and having experienced what just happened, I'm not the best writer in the world.
