what weapon is the best for hoto runeword

hi guys, I just come to east a while ago. Before I normally play in a private server which is still in 1.09d right now. I was very lucky that got a pul on nightmare forge and a vex lately on mf run. Now the problem is which weapon should I socket them in. I heard that they dont works in a sword. Would some one tell me what weapon is the best for a hammerdin.

I have seen ppl use a flail

Everyone and their mother uses a Flail for the low reqs. It only works in maces and staves, and a staff is out of the question because then you can't use a shield. The only maces that can get 4 sockets are Flails, Knouts, and Scourges... so the obvious choice....

I wish war hammers worked.. that would be so sexy on my sorceress.
Actually, my favorite HotO weapon would be a 4 socketed War Axe.
I find axe-sorcs cool... somehow.
