made a booboo

i was makin a meteorb
but i accidently maxed cold mastery
NOW
i have meteor maxed, and im gettin fireball maxed next
Will my fire abilities suffer now?!
is this fixable

Meteorb is a great guide, but even the author stated that it's just a guide. The guide is focused on fire attacks with an orb backup.

The guide suggested level 17 CM because that gives -100% cold resist. It was a strategic tradeoff due to the lack of skillpoints, since it reasoned that maybe 2/3 of the monsters do not have cold resist at all.

I love frozen orb and I maxed CM on purpose, because I wanted cold to be my primary attack. I want to hit the -100% max cold resist ever single time including monsters that have some cold resistance. I want to be able to tackle DClone with its 95% cold resist and have my orb do 2x damage against him. I like cold better than fire especially due to the fact that its mastery cuts down resistances, while fire just adds more damage.

I don't think you need to remake, unless you want to use meteor/fireball as your main attack.

i am more fond toward cold, but i was wonderin if my fire would suffer completely
right now meteor's doin 2k dmg, at lvl 20, and some fireball and + skills, im lvl 73, so theres still room i guess..i estimate lvl 85 i can hit quickly so thats still 12 pts + a few skill quests

1 telekinesis (helps against cold immunes)
1 teleport

1 warmth
20 fireball
20 meteor
3 FM

+11 skills to fire
+13 skills to cold
+11 skills to lightning

My orb does 461-482, before CM takes effect.
My fireball (which I seem to use more than meteor) does 3339-3670.
My meteor does 7982-8345.

For pit running she does just fine. I dont PvP so I wouldn't know about that.
