There is no "best." Your equipment choice will be determined by your play style and goals. If you are making a cookie-cutter meph sorc, then you should load up on MF gear. Tal's Ammy, Belt and Armor. War Travs, Occy, Shako etc. etc. etc.

rhyme shield
occy (ist)
2x high nagels
high chancies

a semi cheaper alternative to the above:
armor: skullders / 4 p.topaz
helm: 3 p.topaz / p.topaz tarnhelm
weapon: gull dagger / ali baba
boots: rares

special note: Tancred's set amulet / boots gives a super sexy mf boost.
