Hum, i got TWO yes, TWO notifications that its live and was sent out, but I dont see one telling me i am one I suppose.

Kind of ticks me off they put a freaking BANNER in the mailing that says "YOU'RE A WINNER" Click here! Leads ya to some stupid online scratch and sniff crap!

Well, for those of you that arent lucky enough to get the Beta, you should be quite happy to know that there are systems in place. I obviously can't elaborate here, but the alpha is still very much workable and pretty easy to find.....


As well as the fact that the last stage is an open beta, thus you can jump on in a few months.



From what I've played, I can tell you it'll be worth the wait for a real open beta, as opposed to waiting for warforge or some such to create one. It's a great game with lots of promise in it. And some day I may run into BofW....prehaps in a dark alley...^^

I have that alpha thats out and about and I must say not too impressed by the graphics at all. I know it's alpha and all but Star Wars Galaxies graphics easily beat it there.

Of course if graphics were everything.. I would still be playing SWG.

Also.. anyone check out the new quicktime of EQ2 from the official site? Looks really sweet.

Actually i have heard that the WoW Graphics KILL the EQ2 graphics by a long shot.... Alpha testers have said that the graphics in beta are MUCH better then they were in alpha. Now you are right on SWG, i havnt seen better then that yet.

from what i have seen the graphics are great. my video card isnt whizbang awesome, but the richness and detail are striking.
not to mention the interesting dynamic between war 3 and wow. for example, the moonwells that the NE used in war3 exist in wow. its just like everything is bigger. HUGE ancient protectors (like they fill the whole freakin' screen!) wander around the NE towns.

i have played swg and ffxi. in my opinion wow graphics easily top both.

As for the graphics : Personally I run them on my lowest settings and they still look damn good without making my computer crap out it's geforce2, and 256 ram (yeah yeah, upgrade time)
