Damage on Dueling weapons?

Im looking into making a dueler to fight with my friends they will be as crappy as me.Im wondering how much decent damage on dueling weapons would be?

im thinking:
12 palladin
18 assa
clvl 27 leaper baba
clvl 48 WW baba

the low levels i guess i could go with normal 5 sock + dam jewels. but for higher ones im not so sure. what dam should decent rares do?

The only decent thing i found so far is a clvl 48 lance with 480+ dam, chance to cast amp, LL and some lesser mods. Is this viable? or should i just toss it for some etheral unique?

Not bad for the level, but the lack of IAS hurts it.


49 = KingSlayer Highlands and what not

27 = Honor.

Iirc a KingSlayer does about 350 ish damage 1 handed with crushing blow and what not.

weapon damage ~ 80-100 max would be ideal

12 pally

depends on one hand or two hand

one hand max weapon damage ~ 70 or 80 is ideal

Just from my experiences in softcore low level dueling (where people don't use pots so one hit kills aren't a "must")

under 2x lvl I guess only max jewelled weapons give good dmg
a friend's pala has 2,5k dmg and about 1k life at 18 - just to compare
clegs possible if all other gear max jewelled

for max possible dmg at 12 lvl as discussed here you can get a pike 210 dmg or so

level 12 paladins usually have about 600-700 life if they are well built. with a rare eth hammer of some sort or clegs sword.
level 18 assys usually have about 70 max or so damage claws iirc, and about 800 life or so if they have some max charms. they could push 1k or higher with all life charms.
27 is eth honor weps. level 27 baba probly would have about 1.5-1.8k life if charms are stats or life.
48 would be a bunch of eth exceptional uniques, or eth upgraded normal uniques. and some upgraded elites. a level 48 barb would probably be at about 3k life??? maybe a little less?

Nah. lvl 12 pally.. 6 socket crystal with 9 max aren't bad.
on the 48.. i saw a 415 ED Flying Axe... lvl 48. Don't remember the dmg, but seemed pretty godly..

throw=not nearly as good as melee.. i had a 38x eth highland, thats about the best melee weap i have seen so far. (for a 49 that is).

The max damage on that flying axe is 499 one handed. The guy (or girl) has been trying to sell it in the trade channel for weeks :o
