I have recently made a duel barb (lvl 12). He used the following gear and I need to know what weapon is best, rings, and also where to place skills. Any help would be appreciated.
helm:sigons
armor:sigons
shield:sigons
boots:sigons
belt:sigons
gloves:sigons or blood
rings: 2x angelic or 1x angelic and 1x 75 nagel?
ammy:angelic
Please post on what weapon i should use, skills, and rings. Thanks

Weapon can be Flail[5] or Crystal Sword[6] or Cleg's for example.
If I were you I would switch helm and armor for max dmg pieces. And get a magic Boneshield of Deflecting[2] with max jewels too.
And try to get a Death Sash insted of Sigons Belt. So you just keep Sigons Boots and Gloves basically. Depending on skill choice and IAS you might end up using Bloodfist instead. I almost got rid of you complete set-up now
At lvl 12 I think your skill options are Bash (Duell with shield) or Doubleswing (better for PK'ing since you have no shield).
And use Angelic amu + 2 x Angelic ring.
If you don't have that many max dmg jewels yet, try to trade for some, because without them it will be hard to kill anyone.
This was just my first thoughts, I'm sure someone with greater barb knowledge will come with better opinions :)

I agree with magnus, if I did a barb pker it would probably be a sword/sword doubleswinger using two cleglaw's swords. I'd use sigons glove+boot for the IAS bonus, and the 10 strength from the glove would let you use max'd gothic plate (4 sockets). There would be a speed penalty, but I think it would be ok. Then use angelic amulet+rings, a max'd hat, deaths sash for CBF and probably bump up to lvl 13 to use +5 stat larges, and pump your hard points mainly into vitality for life (each of those 5 stat larges, if spent on vita, grant 20 life ... a better investment than the life charms available to you at that level).
Skillwise, 1 point into double swing (+1 angelics will bump it to 2, for 1 mana cost). Maybe one point into sword mastery for the 28%ed. Then the rest into bash for the damage synergy to double swing. You can also put a shield on your switch (maxed bsod) and another maxed clegs so you can hunker down and turtle with your shield+high slvl bash when you feel threatened. Double swing, with some %ed from bash/SM and critical from cleglaws will be pretty effective I bet. I been meaning to make one of these guys.

Have you given any thought to a throw barb? Good rare throwing spears can easily be found via shenk, eldrich, and pindleskin.

Where is the best place to fine boneshield of deflecting, and what does it do?
A bone shield of deflecting is a good shield for a LLD character. The deflecting mod adds 20% blocking chance to the shield, and 30% faster block rate as well - so you can reach 75% block with lower dex investment. Typically a LLD character will end up with max (or nearly max) block just by having enough dexterity for their weapon and wearing a BSOD. If you spend more time, you can find a mechanics bsod that will already have the sockets added to it. There's also the vulpine prefix mod available, granting some dmg taken goes to mana (which is handy but not essential).
They can be shopped most easily from ormus in NM. You can then add sockets to them using Larzuk's socket quest, and add max damage jewels to it just like your armor and hat. Since the shield is magical, you can get 2 sockets tops.
You can get them from ormus in normal too, but I have bad luck with getting 2 sockets on his shields so I normally get them from NM. This might be needless superstition on my part, I'm not actually sure on the exact rules for the socket q's when using on magical items. I hear you get 1 or 2 randomly on whatever magical item you use, but I've never gotten two on a shield shopped in normal.

The guy who sells you scrolls in Act2 (Drognan?) sells them. Create a game and get the entrance to Act2 be right beside him, then go lose at him as a true shop-a-holic
Best one would be Prismatic Bone Shield of Deflecting, giving you res from the Prismatic mod as well :)

Dag, yeah I meant drognan. I get names mixed up IRL, so when you throw a lot of imaginary NPC's, I get flat out addled.

Thanks. Is BSOD better than a pelta lunata socked with a 9% dmg to mana jewel?
I'd say so, you need as much damage as you can get, especially if you're going bash/shield.

Don't waste your time and effort. I made this barb not long ago with socketed clegs and all. He was too slow and hardly did any damage. Go bash or throw. Or just go lvl18 and then try a doubleswinger.

I can only remember you talking about your lvl18 d-swinger, calling him a rabbit on amfetamines or something. You were talking about how you used those +15 jewels in his gear and all. Then I tried the lvl12 version which was pretty useless. But hey, it was your character, you should know.

If doubleswing does hardly any damage, bash seems like it would be even worse. Bash get's 5% ed/skillpt, while DS gets 10%ed from the synergy with bash. The +max damage per slvl of bash is nice, but a minor add in comparison to all the wraths already in your rig (27+36+9 from hat/armor/sword, 12 would come from a moderate slvl bash). In addition, I think that DS practically doubles your damage (ok maybe 1.5 times) right off the bat with it's speed improvement compared to bash.
Perhaps you tried a DS barb before 1.10? Then I could see it being sort of weak since you've got no ED to multiply all those wraths.
If I was making a level 12 double swing barb dueler I'd probably go with...
27 max damage horned helm (Thats a 3 socketed mask with three 9 max damage jewels in it)
36 max damage gothic plate (4 socketed gothic plate with four 9 max damage jewels in it)
Deaths gloves and sash
gorefoot boots
angelics rings and amulet
Two Cleglaws swords with one 9 max damage jewel in each.
Skills would be:
1 point into sword mastery, 1 point into double swing, the rest of the points would go in bash. Any additional points would go into sword mastery.
If I were to go to level eighteen or twenty, I'd use the same stuff but use 15 max damage jewels instead of 9 max damage jewels. I'd also switch the boots to sanders. At level 18 (or 20) you can effectively use double swing with two swords and then switch to a sword/shield and use concentrate depending on who your dueling.
Now if you decide to go to level 24...You can really rip people apart with frenzy. This skill is amazing in low level dueling and would probably Destroy anyone without faster block (Like some kicksins...cough cough)
I hope this is a help to you sped_post.
Oh yeah...I highly suggest you Switch the full sigons set with some max damage items. At level 12, you're damage will be low to begin with...try to maximize it was maximum damage jewels.
back in classic I made lvl 12 double swinger with deaths swords, sigs and angelics.
He pretty much owned everybody until a friend of mine came with same items, but shield and bash
he won very easy
thats to give you a tip on combat skill ^^

Sip has nice suggestions but if I'm not mistaken, using a *horned helm* is borderline bannable here
