Eshield: pump vita or energy?

I'm making a fireball pvp sorc cause I hear they are the best sorc for pvp. (If this is wrong tell me now). I'm going to put 1 into Eshield and max telek but I dont know whether to pump points into vita or energy. Im using the following gear if that matters:

vipermagi
soj - 20 raven
arach
magefists
waterwalks
cta+lidless on swap
I'm maxing block and I have 110 fcr which hits bp. If there's any additional advice about my build besides whether to pump vita or energy it is appreciated as well.

Hi.

Get points in both Energy and Vitality. High Mana is especially useful on Fire Sorcs because they have high Warmth, coupled with a high base Mana pool you can regenerate fast and even continuously spam Fireballs without losing much or even regenerating Mana at the same time.

For myself, I think 1600+ is a good number, this should be easy to get with CTA.


As for your build, get rid of the Raven, a second SoJ will prove to be much more useful. CBF does nothing worthwhile on a Sorc, and FB > Cold skills in SvS, so there's no need to absorb them really.


You might want to use Tal Rasha's amulet instead of Mara's, it gives a significant higher Life/Mana boost compared to Mara's, even more so if you add up the bonus from CTA.
Of course, you lose the x% Resist All, but personally I think the only important Resistance on a Sorc is Lightning due to the unavoidable FoH and the Trapper's Lightning Sentry.
Everything else you can avoid, with some practice with Teleport.

Of course you can carry specialized equipment to counter a single Resistance when you meet an opponent that is equally skilled or the match is important, or something.
But for allround, just having some Lightning resistance is enough.


The rest looks OK, you might not want to use Stormshield though, it's a stat point hog, 2xx Dex and 156/133 Strength is alot to spend. A Whitstan's Guard is much easier to reach 75% Block with, and well over 100 stat points saved judging from your other equipment.
If you play on ladder, you might want to use an upgraded Visceratuant for the +1 skill and similar block percentage. (Whitstan's has a bit higher Block, but the +1 skill is worth it, IMHO)

Mana, have enough health so that you'll run out of mana before life when getting hit though. But using energy shield with a fireball sorc is weird arnt they a little short on points? I've never made one so I'm not sure. If I were you I wouldn't use energy shield as a fire sorc though.

Alright thanks, I guess I'll go with mostly energy a little vita (maybe 100), and I'll have enough skills cause ill max fire mast, fireball, firebolt, meteor, and telek eventually thats 100 so i might not fully max bolt until really late but I'll have 1 in warmth and maybe a cold armor.
