Would these unusual Low level duel/pk builds work? I want a build that people wont see coming… All advice suggestions welcome.

Poison dagger Necro (lev 21)
* Apparently poison is not affected by the pvp penalty http://www.rpgforums.net/showthread.php?t=188995
* Weapons of choice is Jade tan do dagger : 180 poison over 4 seconds +AR +cannot be frozen.
* Hat is Wormskull +80 over 8 seconds + 1 skill.
* With an easy +4 to skills poison dagger does +971-1046 damage over 9.6 seconds.
* Estimated pvp damage before resist is 160 per second for a total of 1152 over 7.2 seconds. (not including other sources of damage).
Necro ends up with loads of AR, some block and enough skills left over for bone amour and bone wall.

Impale pike Amazon (lev12 +)
Impale is considered crap because of the durability loss, but would this be so much of a problem in a short pk/duel? Obviously impale would be used with critical strike and dodge and an appropriate poking weapon for the chosen level.

the 17% penalty is there as i decided to test it for myself
the test in lld101 must be for SP or something.. dont know what the deal is

345-384 dmg became 55 on my friend Madness's 29 zealot who has 7%res 0% length

thats called a 1/6th penalty. this was on the USwest realm in normal

Acctually, several Hardcore PKers has testified against me on zons being crappy PKers. A level 9 Jabber, with a big pike filled with rusty jewels of wrath (heck even regular of wrath or rusties is nice). Dodge, even at level 3 or so, is a deasant addition. The lack of block is made up by defense from an ethereal ancient armor. On the whole, a jabber is basicly a lower level zealot with a long range.

Elemental damage on Pkers isn't to be trusted. Because some people stack resists. Even if your poison calculations were correct: Death's gloves + sash is a pretty standard piece of equipment on many Pkers. If anything you'll end up looking like a fool. And, that damage over such a lengthy period as 7.2 seconds. The poison itself can't kill a player, only the impact of it as it seems. So, really, it's not a hit and run build you got there. In fact, do you even plan to make the duell last for 7.2 seconds? Because a chargadin would probably make short of that...

Just remember that any psn build in LLD is almost completely negated by the use of deaths gloves.

I had a lvl 30 rabies druid who did 3k+ psn dmg listed. Anyone who used deaths gloves only took minimal dmg from it. Anyone who didn't use deaths gloves and had less than perfect psn resist died in a matter of seconds.

With the poison dagger I imagined them dying before the 7.2 seconds was up, but in light of the pvp penalty I don’t think ill bother.

I was really thinking more pk than duel and I wanted to try impale not jab as it does more damage over time and give a better ar boost. Might be fun to try it anyway.

The poison effect can't kill a player, it only takes him/her down to 1. Another hit after that will kill her. Unless something has changed since I last checked.

Impale is mighty slow though, most duellers at level 12 are fairly fast, there are some zealots able to push themselves to a level 4 Zeal or so. BoS:ed up sins at level 9, and wolves/bears will probably outspeed that tough. Jab is an uninterruptable, fast paced attack.

The five range or so is always a big pro, but it doesn't matter unless you get first hit. Your call though, but despite the big damage I would go with jab. Jab usually hits multiple times, more hits = more damage.

Not to mention you can just move to the side a little and chuck something in their face.

i dont know if this build is unusual but i started making a lvl 18 guided ama and i found here surviving capabilities very high only i still lack on dam due to the fact i cant find a good 6sock bow i can carry or a nice 4 sock armor (if possible on lvl 18) im hoping for about 200 dam withour crit hit and double with critical here life is now about 610 and dodge is 42% and avoid is 45% or something around that critical strike is lvl 3 now and allready 38% that will get some more lvl's though.

My tactic will be to have a psn bow with about 500 psn dam over 7 secs on the weapon switch to make the first hit then switch to my maxdam bow to finish it of. if annyone has anny tips its allways welcome :D

I am pretty sure that rabies can and will kill a person because it is the same, yet different from poison.

Also, an impale zon wouldn't be that good because what happens when they block your like 10 frame impale? You will be just standing there like a duck in open water.
