edit: Okay with all these complaints and such I'm going to go hardcore into all these clan honor rules and try to make it as fair as possible. This includes the elegibility for sorcs to use tele only, and that life tap is allowed on draculs and exile. Any other suggestions?

Alright so I've got your attention now? Hopefully? Okay, so check this out.

An organized tournament(or league if you may) is in the midst and in production. When I say organized, I mean a website statistic run league with points and such. I'm just doing a mini servey on as many diablo 2 forums I can hit up to see if anyone is interested in this. If ENOUGH people are interested, good prizes may be issued, ie. sojs runes etc.

How it works is that a channel will be set-up on USEAST LADDER realm, and people challenge others at this channel. There will be teams of ONLY 3, no more no less and game modes will include 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. They go into a game and duel(with a witness?? still under planning) and then post the results on a website database. The more you duel and win the higher the points. At the end of a league round ie. a week? The top leaders are posted and the winner is announced.

This dueling league is still in the works and I am only looking for interested duelers. This league will be run under "clan-honor" rules. For a complete guide to these suggested rules please refer to http://www.clan-honor.com and click around till you find them. Some of these rules include:

No life tap (in discussion since no one likes this rule)
No teleport (except sorcs)
Run/walk caps on certain characters
No bone prison
No synergy bugs(includes rabies synergy bug)

and a few others....

Post up if you have any suggestions or are just flat out interested in this. This'll be ready in about a month. If we get enough participants, we'll issue a small fee(say one 7%smfc per team or pul rune) which is affordable. Our first run at the league won't include any fees however because we just want to catch everyone's attention.

I would be interested but if its under CH rules i think 98% of the people will have to remake. Personally I don't like CH rules much, and I know others agree. Also I'd like to see Enigma teleport allowed, as many characters aren't very good without them, namely Wind Druids

it won't be entirely CH rules actually. Me and a friend are remaking the rules right now so that it'll be a bit fair. I'm a little iffy on uplifting the tele rule on enigma though only because if you can remember how dueling was like in .09, running patters were extremely important. Now they don't even exist because of enigma. IMO enigma shouldn't even have the tele skill. It should have +1 to confuse or something alont those lines. Maybe slow missle =)

Well I think running patterns have been replaced with tele patterns, I personally use an Assassin and very much use running as well.

I would be very interested in this. I got me a level 85 kicker/ww asn that would easily fit the rules. Sounds great :thumbsup: .

The rules looks fine and just to add on to the debate; Enigma made duels complicated and boring. Having all classes the ability to teleport encouraged defensive dueling to the extreme. Even my 11 fps teleport fire druid cannot be touch if I wanted to play defensive with enigma, this will only pull long and destroy the fun of tournaments, imo.

I know what you mean when you say prolonged duels, but that usually happens when it's a 1vX and the 1 is a very good dueler. I think a timelimit would combat that rule quiet well, provided that 1 party does not run away the whole time.

Even good duelers cannot do much facing a person with decent knowledge of how to tele back and spamming spells. This is a fact and it has been like this since the game came out.

And your time limit suggestion only works one way and that is 'if the defensive dueler has less life, so he HAS to go attack'. What if is the other way around? If the passive dueler has more life, this will only reinforce more running away.

Furthermore, I think you guys should ban replenish life all together. It should be a reward hitting people and not have them replenish back by just evading.

I think that tele should be allowed and rep life banned.
i also would be willing to do this, and could get some people
