so yeah, i was talking to somone who was telling me how his just friend gave him 5 jahs 8 bers and some ohms and vex's.
sigh. and i had just traded for a vex. sigh sigh.
i wonder if blizz will catch this one, but just thought i would give ppl a heads up.

Hmmm well I wondered when I saw people posting in other forums about the merits of making weapons with 5 bers in em. That would explain it.

yeah im not sure how widespread it is, and im also not sure as to wether or not its easy enough for alot of people to do.
Sigh is all i have to say tho. poking my nose in all of the hacking stuff really ticks me off that blizz doesnt do anything about all this botting. The realmlag and the waitlist is getting to be rediculous.
The main reason I post this is because i just got a deal that seemed too sweet on a rune.
Should i toss the rune, trade the rune, or keep the rune, im really up in the air at the moment, and i really need the rune.
I think the really sad thing is that half of the sorc's on the hcle ladder are bots. On top of that, about anyone with the gear makes a char to bot, and i dont think i have seen many people that dont bot.
Ugh on top of that everyone uses chickenhack, with the exception of a few people that use tppk scripts, and then an even smaller number of people who are still new enough to not know better than to play in pubs. The ladder realm is really just a cesspool of hacks and bots now. I wish blizz would just delete accounts or reset ladder already.

Funny thing that bot thingy.. one person i know from my early times of diablo when i didnt know anything about GAT, i helped one my country fello sorc.. he sucked playing really good.. he was making that sorc for botting purposes (didnt really even know what that meaned) .. he died with that sorc at least tree times.. before got one sorc in hell act 5 to do pindle runs.. hehe after that little bot keeped sorc better alive than that human player would have ever been able to do.. i just say.. hahahahhahahah
Its time saving to use the bot.. but .. sometimes they have to use bot.. they just cant play the game so good as bot, its their only change to survive^^
I feel pity to them ... in 1.09 and now in 1.10..

I don't know if this is related, but I've heard some people saying that SoJ's are going to be very cheap soon. Alas, today I've traded an SoJ on EuHCL, for half of the price it usually goes for, too good of a deal to pass up on although it felt slightly akward. So far it hasn't vanished...
The botters are annoying. I despise people with charnames like "IBotALot" offering their Tal's Armors in tradechannels. Luckily noone wants them anymore anyway.
It's not the bot that plays better, it's the auto-chicken feature that makes it flux if anything makes contact. Unless they get 1-hitted or hit so fast that chicken can't respond (which would be on the order of like 2 huge hits within 5 consecutive frames, or something ridiculously fast) they will never be killed.
I mean, you could run this bot with a bo-barb-bot too on two computers, automatically setting loot. Have it programmed so that if the botsorc is ever slain, halt the run until the user retrieves the all-lootable gear with the barb. In short, they could do these runs with practically zilch risk. All you need is time, computers and internet access.
The botters and the real players simply play 2 different games.
They only overlap in the trade window.
To keep my universe uncontaminated from theirs (as much as possible) I simply never trade. Nor do I play pub much either (which really leaves me uncontaminated - even from the PK'ers). Downside: I don't get to meet the 1-in-50 bnetters who are really cool people.
I'm still in search of a tal's armor, and IK armor, and any rune above ist. After that, I will probably have found/done everything I wanted to with diablo2 anyway. And never traded anything (in 1.10 ... not much before either).

Well, I met someone in a game about 2 weeks ago - got talking, and I acted dumb as usual, and said a lot of ooooo's and aaahhhh's at his equipment he showed me in trade screen.
Then he proceeded to bring in mule after mule full of runes. Mainly zod's, chams, bers, jahs, etc.
He said if I knew who "Quark" was, I would know why.
He later said Quark was one of the best known D2 hackers...
He was helping this Quark guy sell ebay items of course. That was his job to spam in channels all day.
And he didn't even give me a zod...

Someone mentioned that people have developed a bot for running NM andy specicically to get SoJ's. if that's so then yes when those hit the market kiss the value of them goodbye. Probobly they are already out there and people are just now finding out about them.

Yeah, I've heard about this. I Googled "diablo 1.10 classic" to see if I could find any forums that were just about classic. I came across some boards of a certain clan I had played with in Asia. About 10 or so people from this clan there. Anyway, I read some of their topics, half of them were complaining about the Reichs. :) Then most of them were about this Andy bot, and their "triumphs" in using it. They were finding SoJs like crazy, and trading them off. Some were using the thread to predict the downfall of the SoJ in economy. But alas, apparently its been out for a month now, and the values have remained relatively stable, so they were celebrating. So for being out for a month with this bot, value stays up is kinda odd.
Good news, I believe, is that many of the people who were using this bot have had their accounts banned and characters/items lost. Everything they had traded for disappeared. Sounds like a deal to me. :)
But you're right, Unholy, I doubt these botters will be enjoying their "benfeits" any longer, as cracked sashes will be more scarce.
andy bots are up and running for sure, the @ ppl in dc hunt channels are pretty much all boters and they love to brag about it.

Its alot like Diablo2. Actually its written from the D2 codes and tweaked to the makers desires. I guess you could call it a spinoff. I like it because its a lot harder but its also easier to find items / runes and the variety of monsters is far above anything that blizzard ever imagined. Its alot of fun for me right now and i havent played my regular d2 accounts except to refresh my mules since i DL'd it

Quark made the infamous "Quarks" back in 1.09. They included the Quark Bow, Quark Colossus Sword, etc. Basically weapons with hacked ED that is insanely high (they were from the Jewels that Quark managed to get on the realms). Imagine a Colossus Sword, "TheGreat_Quark's Cruel Colossus Sword of Quickness [3]" with 80 IAS, 1050 ED, 127 Max, and -25% Target Defense (socketed with two hacked Jewels and an Eth back when there was the Eth bug).

Nice if the banning part is true.
I think maybe part of the reason you are seeing the value stay up is that im sure a large number of these SoJ's are being sold off to spawn DC's. So prehaps it will finally be the Anni that takes a hit valuewise. We'll have to see.

Fire, fire!! So is this true? Andy bot sounds believable enough, but the rune dupe again? They could have been old runes right?... I really hope so, I found my second self found 1.10 (or any other patch) OHM today... :C
As of yesterday sojs have been reduced in value around 4 times, (at least in sc ladder), high runes now go for 5-6 sojs while before they were fixed at 2. So yeah the results of andariel bots are finally showing.

Stimm that sounds really interesting, but what exactly do you need to play it? It seems like a lot of fun, and if all you have to do is download it, then it might make for some fun questing.
