Hey all,

I've always wondered what could be made out of a sequel to Diablo II. I would think that keeping it in the flavour of 'mideval fantasy' would be a bit bland, and so I thought of how to progress it along.

Put simply, I'm writing a fan fiction about 'diablo in space'. Put very simply.

The setting is basically the world of diablo 800 years after the destruction of baal. The forces of hell vanquished, the angels and other messangers of heaven have more or less deserted humanity. As the faithful slowly became jaded, magic and religion left the people and was replaced with the necessity of technology. War and dehumanization ravaged the modernized world as growing societies became at odds over resources and ideologies.

Uriel at last returned from heaven and issued an ultimatum to the worlds leaders. Either make it into space... or perish on earth. Needless to say some of the nations chose to ignore the warning, but those who took it in earnest eventually made it into space.

Anyway sitting at the computer hurts my back, so I'll post again later. So the concept is just a huge breeze over that'll be better thought out later. But for now:

1) Am I missing anything continuity wise? And is there anywhere I can check for such canon purposes?

2) May I post this fan fiction here?

3) Any suggestions or comments? For instance, should the solar system in this world be entirely fantastical, or exactly like ours? With mars, earth etc.

Thanks

"May I post this fan fiction here?"

You may, but I personally have no desire to see Diablo in Space.

There was already a Space Diablo written, in the old TDL. Might still be there. It was...well, I hated it, but it could have been okay.

do ya mean www.diabloii.net/tdl ? yup it's still up there.... why it's still up there i have no idea. Although there were some good stories there that didn't get x-fer'ed to the new tdl site like Demandred's Chronicles of Diablo II, damn shame really. But go for yer Diablo in Space idea, lets see what you can do.
