Hello,
Welcome to the newest diabloii.net forum :howdy:
We are here to facilitate trading of items found while playing single player D2. The Single Player Forum (http://www.rpgforums.net/forumdisplay.php?forumid=3) has been the place for this activity for the past three or so years, but the trade volume has grown dramatically since the release of the 1.10 patch.
We are in the final stage of creating a Single Player Trading Guide (FAQ) and will post it here in a matter of days. We hope it will answer most of the questions you may have.
As Elly mentions in the announcement, we will abide by the same general rules as the other trade forums, but there will be some guidelines and tools specific to single player trading.
In the mean time, please be patient with our lack of structure. :uhhuh:
Regards,
AE
edit: pwn'd by Kremtok :)
To add on to what AlterEgo said, I have posted temporary rules and stickied them at the top of the page. These are the same rules that apply in the Single Player Forum - with one major exception rune trading is prohibitied in the Single Player Trading Forum. This will be addressed in more detail in the final rules/FAQ. In the meantime, happy trading. :)

Woot, can't believe it finally happened. Good job guys

Great there is finally a forum for the single players to trade in.
Kremtok - I guess your rule also implies gems for the same reason no ID numbers so they can be duped without regard. So no rune/gem trading?

Hi
Good Job.
I have one idea.
Can we trade here low and middle runes and ban only High rune trading?
No Pgems trading no Ort runes for crafting? = No reason to keep mid-lvl runes.

i think rune trading should be allowed, other than that, it's awesome that we have our own trading forum now! thanks for getting it done AE and Krem!

I think they should be allowed too, just use your common sense who to do your business with.

Thanks for taking on the challenge of a trading site AE and Kremtok.
I also feel rune tradeing, at least of low to mid level runes should be allowed.

Yeah, just look at the last rune that was traded - one hell of a lot of intrest. However, it is far too easy to dupe high level runes...so...perhaps none is better than duped.

I feel it would be unfair (and slightly rediculous) to dissallow the trading of crafting runes for example. (No offense intended AE and Kremtok) With high runes I feel people need to be a little more careful in their actions. I have seen members criticise the authenticity of high runes when they have been posted as an item find, and then the same member state they want to trade for it when the rune is offered in the trade thread. High runes seem to make people act irrationally and I can see why their trading is banned. However, I haven't quite noticed the same reaction to a pile of Nefs so I don't see why they are untradeable. (Saying that I can see why it is easier to have a ban them all approach, I just don't agree with it thats all.)

Like I said, use your common sense, and there won't be any problems.

I'm against the ban of rune trading. If someone like Strooj or Mil trusts the trader, I'd not be against the trade.

I deeply hope this new Forum brings you mods an easier time with trading. I say it beacuse after a small test of the system, I got to the conclusion it will take ages to do what we usually did in 10 minutes: Browse through 4 pages with 100 traders...
With a thread per trader, the small traders will fall to page 3 while the great guys will be almost stickied... :cheesy: (check Leroy's for example...)
Maybe this new forum will open the opportunity for new faces, with more and different stuff, which is the good side, but I think I will get pretty slowed here... I mean, loading 100 threads!!!! Sorry if I seem ungrateful and critic, I mean no offense, but indeed it will make it tough.
Well, its a new environment and we all now what happens to those who cant addapt. :uhhuh:

Would like to say congrats on the brand new forum, it's about time we got our own trading forum
Also, I feel it's a shame banning the trading of runes alltogether. I would allow all rune trades, as long as people know who they're trading with. On the other hand, I understand what is the reason behind the decison, so I guess I will have to find my way to my precious UM in a different way...

Hi Folks,
A quick idea, translated from the Bnet trading forums: it would be *very* helpful to standardize thread subject lines to include what version of the game a given trade is for. For example, instead of just "JoeBloe's Trade List and ISO," we could ask forum members to post "1.09 HC: JoeBloe's Trade List".
I ask for completely selfish reasons: as a HC player, it would be terrific to scan the subjects and know if there are any threads worth loooking at (rather than looking at 50 threads, to find that only two are for HC). But I'm sure that this would also be useful for players who use older versions of the game, or Classic, etc.

@ skunkbelly - Good idea. Kremtok plans to post the revised forum rules this weekend. He covers this topic.

I've got a suggestion too - how about having titles like "1.10 SC ISO Death's Web" instead of having titles like "1.10 SC n00b's ISO list" ? That would save traders from having to open each thread, only to find that they have nothing available to trade.

So what would you change your own thread title to?

You mean my current thread?
Probably something like "1.10 SC ISO Chilling GCs." I dunno if we can edit thread titles, but if we can, after I get all the cold skillers I need, I'd edit it to the next item I'm ISO.
Relax man, and wait for the new rules to be posted at the end of today. All of your concerns have been addressed, though don't be disappointed to see that we didn't do it exactly your way.
Another tip: Hover over the link to the thread, and read the preview it provides you. That's much easier than having to open each thread and read it through, and it might help you find out what you need to know.
way to go AE and Krem!!!!!!:teeth:
now to trade myself something good for christmas
