I am new to trading and I hope I can ask a quesiton or two about possible values for items I want and item I have.

Items I want:
what does it take to get:
a IK Aldur's or Tal Rasha armors?
shimmering charms (all resistance)
mara's
Arreats face
natalya's mark
mf sc

Items I have and want potential values:
skulders
IK and tals rasha set itmes (except armors)
perfect war travelers (50% MF)
rainbow facets
skill charms

Anyway, what a long list! You can answer or ignore this post as you like. I suppose I am still feeling my way around this trading business and having fun. I wonder what the single most valuableitem that has been traded on this board?

There is no currency or really item values on these frorums, as it says in the rules thread if you read it, values really depend on how bad the traders want it. now that thats out there,

As others said, there is no absolute value. But as a general rule to follow, item of the same TC (treasure class) or rarety are about the same. Download ATMA if you haven't already, there is a build in drop calculator that will tell you the drop chance of each item, that'll give you an idea of relative rarety of items.

But of course there are some exceptions, such items like soj, death's web, mara's (good resist ones), and to a lesser degree hoz, arreat's face, that everyone and their brother wants a couple, so their relative value goes up. (especially true for soj)

unfortunately the only facet that fits what I'm looking for atm, is the 5/3 fire, a Shimmering GC would be a fair trade - if that sounds good to you

IK Armor would probably go for about 2-5 facets of the type that I'm looking for (depends on which ones)

these are my prices, what I see value in them, which I think are pretty fair

I like the shimmering charm but I have a couple already so I am fine. I am just being greedy:) What other things do you need for the IK SC? I have other stuff in my stache that I could offer. Otherwise, maybe we will have better luck next time.

Sorry about the war travelers. I have wanted Tals armor for ages and ages To get it so easily was a dream come too:) I am iterested in the charms (who wouldn't?) The problem is that I am still feeling my way arounf trading stuff. I wanted to ascertain the values of some of my stuff-not necessarily trade them now. I would likely be willing to trade my eth HOZ, but not the regular one. I like my paladin, too much. first character to use Azurewrath for me. Are there other things that interest you? I have lots more stuff in my stash...

That Bane Ash is quite rare! I think it is one of two rarest TC3 items, IMHO according to my experience. The other being a Knell Striker, but I've seen that drop. As for Bane Ash, I've never seen one drop, ever; hence I'm willing to trade a TC87 item and some other items for that. But whatever suits the trader. :lol:

Anyway, how many items are you lacking for your grail Grimfeng? I'm down to 18, IIRC. And I don't think most of those will be acquired through trading (especially Tyreal's and Stormlash, to name a few :xrollseye ), nobody seems to be responsive anymore to my trade list... :xx:

I can undertand not wanting to trade a tc87 for a tc3. I would agree with that:). I can also understand your impatience. I still have about 50 or so items still. Considering I needed about 80 or so earlier a few weeks ago, I am be getting eager, too. The ridiculus part is that I have all the normal items somewhere, I just can't find them. Is Tyreals' Might the hardest item in the game to find? Or is it a Zod?

ps I found a Trang Ouls' Guise last night running Baal. That's why I want the mf charms, to increase my chances of finding stuff. I might go back to normal and start running around.

We can never compare Tyreal's Might with a Zod simply for the reason that Tyreal's Might is very hard to come by (IIRC, only Baal can drop this, but I'm not really sure); a Zod, on the other hand, is simply put IMPOSSIBLE to find. It must be ordained by the Diablo gods if one drops, and forever curse every player if ever this happens. The only Zod I know of in the SP forum is a cubed one. :xeek:
I'm not hoping, nor ever will be hoping, of finding one...

Oh, and concerning your Bane Ash, if for whatever reason you and Grimfeng don't agree on a trade for that, may I be next in line for that. That's the only normal item I'm lacking. But I think it's unlikely that Grimfeng will let go of that. :lol:

Actually, the lvl 85 areas have a chance of dropping the Tyreal's might. Just the bosses and champs I believe. And Baal is the only act boss that can drop it. Zod on the other hand............. :xrollseye I have only known 3 people to have it.

I don't have very many TC87's left so I'd rather swap them for other 87's if possible. I'm down to 22 grail items and am ready to give up trading for them. I guess I'd need a better Gheed's, better War Trav's and better luck. :lol: I do better with charms and j00ls than my uniques and sets.

@sae1969: So if you want charms and j00ls I've got some damn good ones. And since I have 2 BK guardians, I could part with one for that Bane Ash if you still need one.

What kind of MF stuff do you have? I am still arguing with myself about socketing my Occulus or Tal Orb with one of 2 ists that I have found/cubed. I could always compromise and socket the orb with the best jewel I can find. Charms always work...
