In search of a good bow!!!

Hello,

i'm currently schooting early hell with a buriza // m'avina's bow ( complete set)
But the benefits aren't that good.. it doesnt go quick, and no great dmg..
is it possible to beat the game with mavina's set? or not...

Anyone has some better for trade? (pm me, i'm collecting the grail and i'm at 80% so i might have some nice for your in reward.. just say what you want for it... and what bow you offer..)

Its totally possible. I think the only bow better than what you've got is a Windforce, and those hard to find and harder to trade for. I finished with Buriza recently and from what I understand about Mav's set it shouldn't be too bad.

Anyways, if you want a better bow, Windforce is what you're looking for. If you want to finish the game, you can do it with what you've got. Pop over to the Single Player Forumn and ask a bit there and you'll get alot more responses.

While Mavina's is not top end, it's certainly not bad. The main drawback is it speed. With a base of 10 and no built in ias, you've got to get tons of ias anywhere else. Depending what skills you use though, it may not be a problem (it's certainly not a serious problem for strafe, but it may be for cold/freezing arrow).
So you can go for either ultra speed and low dmg, or a lower speed and high dmg. Before Windforce, you do have Eaglehorn, that while being realtively slow, it does has great dmg (and huge bonus to ar).
You should really say what build are you playing to get the best bow for you ;)

In terms of Hell viable bows, the big three uniques are Windforce, Eaglehorn, and upgraded Witchwild String. Hell is certainly doable with the M'avina's set and the burrito-do-kyanon, but I think one of the three above will be better for you. I don't have a Windforce to trade, (these generally go for a king's ransom anyways), but I do have a spare Eaglehorn and about a half dozen WWS.

Due to the rules, I can't trade you an upgraded WWS because runes were used in making it, but I can send you a normal WWS for free and you can upgrade it yourself (Lum + Pul + perfect emerald). If you would rather trade for the Eaglehorn instead, consult my trade thread somewhere down the page.
