Favourite bvb builds

Well Im just curious as to what build of barb people favour for bvb. I absolutely despise the twitchthroe/swordback combo because i dont like the look and i think open wounds is a stupid idea, and because of that i used to get smashed in bvb. In so many bvb games, everyone wears exactly the same setup, except the weapon, and the the winning factor is just weapon damage. :grrr: Anyways thats all changed cos my new naga barb owns all.
He uses a Rare naga, 98-121 damage with AR. Rattlecage, Goblin toes, angelics bling, sigons helm/shield, rare 24fhr 60 life cold damage belt and bloodfists. He is pure vita and he smashes people.
And i have another cool barb, a mauler. I can take any 2h barb unless they walk :p. Uses angelics, amy gcrown, rattle/ornate, gobs/frw boots, bfists, deaths sash/rare 24 fhr 20 str 38 life belt and a 265 martel. He swings in at 1666 damage :D and 3k life!

So peoples what are your barbs ?

I know this link was for BvB builds but I am curious to know of any information on a lance barb. I have no clue on what to max other then bo and Whirl wind. Is it polearms, spears or mauls? I have seen some of both and I am wanting to build a PvM barb for doing cows and hell chaos runs So if you have any advice Ethos or any one else please post.

i just snatched up a cute little naga for cheap. 123 174ed 1-9fire -30req saph socket.

im gunna try out 30 base str all vit. just started him, only clvl 64 but he seems to be owning pretty well...

i pretty much only play classic east ladder atm, and my bvb is pretty godly.

he is lvl 85
he has 4.6k life and 1.5k defense 14k ar 550 ww dmg w/ 50% deadly strike 25 cb and 50 ow. max block.

his gear:
clegaws sword
twitchthroe
s-back
angelic rings/ammy
goblin toe (cb is godly)
clegs gloves (to increase clegs dmg and slow/kb)
deaths sash (cbf, my comp is slow and if i freeze in bvb i die due to lag)
biggins bonnet (30% enchanced dmg ar life/mana)

I have 45 base strngth
base dex
435 vita

when i bo i use a +2 barb ammy and 2x +2 barb wepons

people underestimate him when they see his sword but it does 12x dmg and w/ the deadly strike it is lethal.

That is very possible considering this is classic. Classic block is based on what the shield says not dex and character lvl. If a shield says 55 blocking like SwordBack Hold the character would have 55% block throughout the game from lvl x to lvl xx with out a single point of investment.

on classic putting points into dex doesnt increase your block. your block is the block your shield says it is. s-back on a barb is 55% +25% from twitch i have 75% (max) block.

Hmm with that in mind it's probably a good thing that Blizz made block dex and level dependent in later versions. It's already pretty flawed when one stat category (energy) can be ignored no matter what class or build.

Yah its like that in expansion, but in Classic sorc's need mana my static/orber has at least 100. It is like that because of items that don't add as much to mana so you have to compensate for some. You loose the trade off of not puting points into energy over dex and I like being able to block 60-75% with a sorc and not having to put a point into dex.

perfect gear would be

902 def ornate 60 life +15 strngth -30%requirements
252 def grim helm w/ 40 life +strngth and bonus to ar
120-194 bh w/ 300 ar cold dmg +20 strngth, life
156 def pavise w/ 30/20 +strngth, DTM,
Goblin Toe boots
106 def gloves w/ +15 strngth / dex
104 def war belt w/ +20 strngth +60 life 1-4 cold dmg/////deaths sash :P

socket everything w/ perf amethyst///p ruby

enough life so you wont die in 1-2 whirls

90 cb +high ar (12k+) + 850ish ww w/ critical strike..... can take away around 3k life in a ww. Assuming ur opponent has high life (so the cb hurts more)

clegs doesnt get very effective till around lvl 70 as the dng is based on ur clvl

it can still kill, but the max dmg will be below 100

No, that is just the common opinion of people who don't understand the cleg build, right now my normal attack does 9-160 at level 26.

If you make cleg bvb build right here is the ADD-ONS you get with that kind of low dmg;

25% crushing blow
50% open wounds
50% deadly strike
21% critical strike
25% slow enemy

It is basically a cold barb, you use a 1-4 cold dmg belt + cleg gloves = you slow the other barbs ww down soo much that they get half the hits on you as they normally would.

I also have 145 vitality at level 26.

50 bucks says I will own.

One bad thing about Clegs is the ridiculously low Minimum damage, and the low low block shield. And, without the shield, you drop 35% Crushing Blow. Kind of annoying.

Yeah, those are reasons I don't use Clegs. The 50% DS is very nice though.

I like a Naga build for BvB. Twith + Swordback + Goblin Toes, then rares for everything else would be ideal.

I have a lvl 85 and a 83 bvb clegger on east ladder (the 83 is my remake of the 85, i used a life/strngth cd belt on the 85 so i had base vit but on the remake i use deaths sash so the stat placement is diff)

so i do know what im talking about. At lower lvls it CAN kill but imo not as well as a bvb w/ a godly bh/naga of the same level.

Only rares I used in actual BvB was my Naga. I didn't have any barb items, and just made this welfare one. My riches went to my Necromancer, but this one fared pretty well. I got a lot of complements from people scanning (grr) my gear, but I did get comments about my helm that were jests. Hey, if it saves me 40 life pre-BO, I'm good.

Min dam with 98? It is impossible to have that high min dam on naga. The highest mindam is 16*3+14=62.

That bowazon -_-;; :grrr: Was fun dueling it though. Me and my freind are making one too, but its going to have a flashing aura paladin partied. (conc, might fanat) Testing offline it deals around 400 dmg pvp multishot per hit. Coupled with enchant, pub duel games are goin down! Yeah and im lovin the light sorc. So many people give me **** about it then i own em. Im aiming to have 10k + dmg at level 86.

That mauler is my bvb. When i get around to buying another bhammer :D
Its pretty decent at bvb 1h. But I love dueling people hc styles with the maul lol.
