Anyone interested in starting up playing 1.07? Rack running... HF rushing (nn lvl 20, 40, 60 for ancients)... you name it. Good old fashion Azurewrath, Pre 1.10 Ravenclaw, Max damage charms etc... there are lots of good stuff in 1.07. Any interest?

Any help is welcome! :wink3:I have actually been toying with the idea of going back to v1.07 for a bit myself. I used to have such an install on another comp, along with lots of goodies (like my prismatic resists Tal's ammy, thanks to the cube recipe), but lost it in a move.

Tonight I will be spending time with the g/f, but after she goes to bed, I'll probably do another v1.07 install. If so, I'll totally be up for MP questing and maybe some MF, but not rack running (that's something best done solo). Of course, I'd be making the hammerdin of v1.07 (that is to say, a sorcy with FO + CM + Static).

Hey this is great! But ehh.. I was a little anxious about this so I sorta already started playing :jig:... but I'm only on Andy as I speak. I would definately like to rerun the whole act however, the extra xp will really help.

I'm going with the same set as well (FO sorcy), but the extra xp from two players and the doubled firepower should really help the start which is... :grrrr: to say the least.

Oh and yeah, I don't do much MF either before ... well, lvl 40 something (if at all), so that shouldn't be an issue. I'll probably start after six -> eight hours from this post. I live in Europe and you in Canada but I'm used to playing at 3 a.m it's no problem for me ^^

Would you like to host then or will I?

Got a bit of a scare when it wouldn't run (I'm using Daemon Tools and disk images, both because I hate swapping discs, and because my optical drive is fubar right now), but after updating to v1.06, it works fine. I'm only planning on milking early Classic gambling for all it's worth (ie, Eye of Etlich, Tarnhelm, and a couple SoJs), but after that, I'll be upgrading to LoD again. It'll probably be a day or two, depending how much D2 time I can put in, but it should be soon. :)

Been playing near an hour, and I'm only level 6 or 7. Right now I'm using a bow with +cold damage I was lucky enough to score, and that's been really helpful.

Good luck! Gib SoJ when you convertI'd forgotten how slow a process this was. Getting the gold takes forever, rings/amulets don't show up in the gamble window all the time, and (most annoying of all), you need to exit town to get the gamble selection to refresh.

I was lucky enough to grab a Stoutnail, which is clobbering everything, and a Tarnhelm. It's gonna be a while for new gear though.

New chars in the new release (todays patch (1.53)) of Median 2008 at ~11:30 EST.

If you don't play Median and are looking for a change of pace, I highly recommend that you join in with us and give it a whirl.

Make sure you backup your diablo 2 folder if you do. :)

I would have a go at Median but can't find any installation instructions.

Ah, it's easy.

1) Download file in above link

2) Unzip to a location.

3) Make a copy of your d2_patch.mpq file in your Diablo II folder wherever you have it installed. (Usually in the program files folder on your C drive) Make sure you paste it in a safe place that you will remember it.

4) Copy the d2_patch.mpq from the downloaded link and paste it into the Diablo II folder. When it asks you if you would like to overwrite the previous file, click yes. Make sure you have backed up your d2_patch.mpq file before doing this if you ever want to play regular D2 again!!!

5) Run Diablo 2 from the Diablo 2 folder. This isn't always necessary, but I am assuming that you have RRM/RWM installed and are running them. I would run Median from the folder either way just to be sure.

6) Enjoy Median!
