Who are the HC MP'ers?

It's been a while now since I was playing MP here seriously and would just like to see who the HC MP players are and what you play. Now that I've played HC solo for over two years I'd like to like I see it, take my fun a step further. It looks to me like many HC players are 'afraid' of MP'ing because it would somehow be a risk to your characters survival, but I'd take that risk myself to experience the fun that MP brings a game. After all you can allow others to loot your corpse :thumbsup: . I do belive that MP opens up for lots of fun team-play variations and strategies. Many players seem to look at HC deaths in a very negative way too. Of course it's sad to loose a character you've enjoyed playing and put time and effort in playing but I try and see it as a challenge, attempting to come farther and reaching higher goals with my next one.

More MP would also bring some more life into the HC trading community which I'm interested in doing. The idea of a MP group sounds like fun but the reason I don't think it would suit me is that I you can't play it whenever you want.

My hopes with this thread is making more HC players coming together and play and have fun together aswell as some comments on what I just said of course. Maybe getting some SC'ers to join aswell? :wink2:

I hope I'm not the only one with interest for HC MP, there are a few more in the HC MP thread, but unfortunately it isn't very active. Sadly posting here will only bring players already visiting the MP forum, but I wasn't sure if this would suit the main SPF board.

Here's some about my HC multi-playing then:

Currently vanilla, but I want to be able to play with all HC players (think it's pretty sad that some players don't even want to be tainted by others using RWM since the HC MP community already is as small as it is, but I do understand why others might feel that way). I am also located in europe. Afraid I don't know what else to say.

I can play and host games. All my current characters are RRM+RWM, might be limiting factor.

I'm not interested in trading though...I've been playing selffound for at least 2 years and I like it more this way.

Fair enough of course :wink: But how do you deal with being selffound and MP? (personally I go separate with selffound characters and MP characters)

What's the common stance about getting RWM tainted though you play vanilla yourselves? Is it an issue?

Because in MP I most likely have some effect on the drops...I can count them as mine, at least partially. I'm not too strict about it. And it still is harder and more satifying than simply trading for them.

I was thinking about that, but then it hit me, why would it? It's not like it's something that are forbidden in any rules I ever read, and it's not likw I'd be cheating or doing something bad at the forums...
I guess one would be hated and maybe eventually banned tough, or people would just wuit mping :P

My brother, Stephan and me are going to create new chars in half an hour. The game is going to be twinked but Vanilla, hopefully there might be some more interest to join these games...

I'd be happy to start new HC chars. I would go through Normal happily, but depends on how that goes (with latency/lag) depends if I'd go into NM/Hell.

I'd like to make a Hammerdin sometime in the near future, hopefully being MP'ed and untwinked. This means that either Vanilla or RRM/RWM modded would be fine, just untwinked. If anyone has any interest, PM me any thoughts, etc.

I just started playing HC a few weeks ago. So far I have an 87 dual sword WW barb, currently stuck at CS b/c IM is scary.

I also have a 65 Meteorb sorc, currently in a4 NM.

I'm using RWM, but I'm usually up for a game for anyone who wants to play. I'm free on most nights.
