LLD public dueling not that fun so far?

Well, as some of you know, i got my exp cd key back today and finally got back on my lld budget charger to have some fun. WELL, for a while there it was fun, til i found a game full of actual lld's. I thought, sweet! Actual lld's, this will be all gm fun and we'll prolly have a blast! Man i was wrong...

All it seemed they would do was never say go, always jump me in a duel with someone else, and then say that my win's i got were all fluke's and that my char was a crap shoot and noobish... (which dont get me wrong, it is lol. He's hardly geared as a proper charger should be but still, practice with crap, then get the best. words to live by) but seriously...WTH?! This isnt the lld i knew and loved from last season. Has lld become flooded with the bm'ers and such of that of the hld world? Im starting to have doubts on if i even want to make a non budget fully sweet and fun char this season if this is what im going to have to play with.

Anyone else seeing this trend?

As soon as a kiddy discovers that he has a quite good character and he somehow miraculously (sp?) notices that he can use it correctly to some extent, said kiddys head fills up with urine. Scientists cant explain this.

Make a good and expensive char then enforce the rules of GM, it's what I do on NL.

Bloke, Crawl and I are on east. I don't know about Pedu and Aku.

I'm also on East, and that is what I do as well.

I act as an enforcer much of the time in pubbies, and/or have one of my friends there with a gg HLD char to clean-up assholes and the all-too-common lvl 80+ Hdin/FC zon who gets some satisfaction from dueling in normal b/c they lack the skill to duel in Hell (esp since I can still kill many of them).

But yes it has basically become like hlds, and so the same adaptations must be made. I duel with 2 of my friends with me at all times and we can team-up and take out pretty much any hld and easily any would-be assassin(not the class) who wants to goof-up games.

I'm also on East like I said...you're more than welcome to duel me and/or with me. I can PM you my lld acct if you'd like :)

hey, i kinda wanted to retract a little bit on what i said. there are really good duelers that i've run into that are mostly east NL that are a-holes, but i also just remembered that there are indeed nice guys where ever you go. they may be less frequent, but generally they make up for the pub trash and the elitists you run into. one good/cool guy out weighs 20 idiots.

ps. i tend to be a little cliquish at times... i'll get a lvl 30 up and going soon, pally.

Ive heard about op lldpk, but ive always heard that most ppl on there are afk the majority of the time lol. I will say, i agree with CDM on the NL East, there are A LOT of good lld's there, but some many of them are jerks it can kinda get ya down.

Im also glad to see that im not the only one who's kinda suffering or w/e so far. And i really do wish i could have an amazing lld up and going by now, its just ive been on and off so much with school i havent really had the time to sit and find/trade for items to make one. I think the last lld i was going to build was going to be a blizz since they seemed quite fun and i was getting a bit of exp from messin around in duel games with my mfer.

Ill have to hook up with some of you op lldpk fellows once i have a mildly respective lld built and ready lol :thumbsup:

Yea many people are afk in the channel but if the bot is up it will tell you what games the llders are in.

Just type .lld and it will list the game name of everyone who has added the bot as a friend. I suggest you add him too.

Hopefully i can have a working char up in the next few weeks to start practicing with. I always like to outfit a char with common gear, get the hang of em, then start trying to upgrade to the good stuff. No sense in spending tons of items/currency and what not to build a char that turns out to be terrible and not fun lol.

Yeah I made that mistake gearing-up an Orb sorceress lvl30.

Didn't take into consideration SOE & Vmagi/Spirit shroud MDR :( Ruined the build. Luckily I had really just let her have my fb sorcs' stuff so it worked out okay but still...disapointment.
