Okay, so, im gettin a lvl 85 MF sorc, and i reealy like the cold tree. Therefore, it's gunna be a cold mf sorc. Here's the skills im thinkin of:
MAX: Frozen Orb(main attack), Cold Mastery, Ice Blast(secondary attack), Ice Bolt(synergy to FO)
1-Warmth
1-Telekenis(prereq for teleport)
1-teleport
Rest into Glacial Spike(to boost Ice Blast)
Okay, im pretty confident with these skills, although, instead of ice blast maxed and some into glacial spike, i might do it other way around, im not sure.
Now for the gear, i know theres better but this is what i am interested in:
Full Tal-Rasha's Wrappings (this gives +3 to all skills which i like a lot)
Armor and Helm will prob have P-Topaz
Gloves: Chance Guards
Boots: War Travelers
Rings: 2x Nagelrings, 2x SOJ's, or one of each (prob one of each)
Well i haven't calculated the magic find for this yet, but im pretty confident with it. Do you think that this will be a good setup?
Comments? Suggestions? Thanks

forgot to add the lidless wall (sorry for double posting)
Well, there is another belt which is better for MF than the Tal Rasha belt. You will still get the 3+ to skills and 60% (i think) to MF without the TR belt. It's a unique with a high MF, If I remember correctly. I cant guarantee for this to be better, but it might.

I'm talking about the "Goldwrap" belt here.
As for your rings, I have a spare Nagelring you can get cheap if you want to. PM me if you're interested.
Good luck! :)

I wouldn't get Ice Blast/Bolt if I were you. Time for a MEANINGFUL secondary attack is limited; you might as well glacial spike with a 1 pt investment to get some freezing action going if you can afford it.
Edit: Go Sox. (went to Tufts)
Edit#2: Goldwrap < Tal Rasha's Belt

switch blizzard for frozen orb, and switch glacial spike for ice bolt, and you're all set

The build looks solid, I would recommend a couple things, though:
Don't waste points on a secondary cold attack, synergized orb will tear through anything not CI immune anyway.
I would put them into:
1 to Static Field.
Rest into Enchant/Fire Mastery, prereqs.
This gives your merc some extra fire damage, and will benefit anyone in your party as well.
Hi i think there are better eq than using full tal set, seems like u gonig for more res but if you dont mind me giving u advises then listen to what i got to say.
Ive made a pure blizzard sorc for Mf and here is eq:
helm: shako 74mf (soxed with pef topz)
Wepon: ocu 50mf
arm: tal arm 112 (soxed with perf topz)
amu: tal amu
belt tal belt 15mf
gloves: chance guard 40mf or magefist
boot: WT 50mf
Spirit Monch
2x nagel 30mf
The 3 tal items combined together gives u 65 mf so u looking about 426(without chance guard) and 466 (with chance guard)
Think this is much better than full tal set. But the problem is with the resis :(. You dont need resis for mfing do you?
I also think there is more skill points. If u have problem with mana then use soj, magefist or u can simple eq ur merc with eth insight cv but there is alot of str requirements on cv

This "m-finder " is just incredibly expensive to be... so incredibly limited :azn:
1.You use just ONE element. This element (cold) is MOST resisted in the game. There is allso most monsters immune to it. Resistances are no prob since You have CM but immunities ARE. Your hunting grunds will be limited to some fiew areas without cold immunes. It will be so boooring
2.You use Tal set what is just a waste for 1-elementalist. Tal (as a set) is designed for a well balanced, universal (2-ele) sorc. There are allways better setups for 1-elemental extremists.
If you have this sorc already with all skill points located as it is stated in the first post... hmmm I have nothing to say since I would never play this kind of toon.
If you just planning and ask your questions BEFORE it is too late - My advice is: If you want to have a magic finder - go for a meteorb (read the guide) or any other 2 elementalist (read other guides).
If you just want to do 500 mega Meph runs + ancient tunnels and mausoleum - go for Bliz sorc (read the guide)
looks like an solid build..
blizzard or fo is up for an debate but i feel its more of an personal preferance.
fo + fireball works nicely too and gives you some more variety.
personaly i would screw lidless since, well, there are better shields out there. spirit monarch (for non block sorc) and rhyme heather (for max block mf --). what ever you prefer more..
1 pt static is really handy, go for that
try out with 2 x nagel. add a soj/bk ring (or 2) if you dont lke it and feel like overkilling your mf over killing speed. the goal to aim for should be around 300-500 without sacrificing too mutch of yuor efectivnes

You should be able to reach around 500 orb damage with the following setup, but I am not saying you should change yours. It all depends on what you have, what you need, and, most importantly, what you want.
This is the one I have used for quite a while, and she could run Mephy like there was no tomorrow.
Shako with perfect Topaz
Skullder's with perfect Topaz
Oculus (Ist optional)
Lidless with perfect diamond
War Traveler's (As close to perfect MF as you can find)
Goldwrap
2 Nagelrings (As close as you can find to 40%)
Chanceguards (Once more, as close to perfect as possible)
For the amulet, you can go with Tal's, for the extra +skills, or the way I took, a 33% MF amulet with some +mana.
Throw in some MF small charms, and you have yourself a crapload of MF.
Now, that is the one I did, but it is by no means perfect, and suffered some resistance problems.
Yours would definitely be more sturdy, but I was just pointing out how to maximize the MF while not spending a fortune.
In fact, with a double-Isted Ali Baba's and Rhyme shield you would get even more MF, but that sacrifices some skill boosts you need to survive.
