How bad is my sorc build? flaming and opinions encouraged

lets see ... i have lvl 90 mfing sorc.
Name - FukinImmunities

base stats (i really messed up here i noe)
strgnth- 100
dex- base
vitality- 300 (1.2k life)
enrgy - 100 (660 mana)
(i went for max vitality other than max block)

Skills (ughh i messed up here too)
20 forb
20 cold mastery
20 ice bolt
20 warmth (WHY DID I DO THIS? ARGG ... although i NEVER use mana pots :D )
1 teleport
1shiver/chilling armor (i switch according to range or melee monsters on screen ... major management
1 to energy shield .(flame me all u want .....)
1 to static field( if any sorc doesnt have this .. remake)
and i got meteor (1 into meteor and 1 into fire mastery and prerequisities .... not good dmg lol but i have no other skill points to put into so ... mite as well)
1 into all prequists...

so yeah ... i made QUITE alot of mistakes but tell me :)

well my equip is really horrible too .. full tals set = not good for 1tree sorcs.

full tals set (ptopaz in helm and armor)
lidless w/ p diamond
2X nagels
war travs
bloodfists/chance gaurds
i have anni and storch
gheeds

my merc equip isnt shabby tho:
crown of thieves
stone
obediance
(defiance merc .... tanks almost evrything .... chaos is still not a good palce to go)

well i have perfect resistance except for poison (50 poison resist) and becuz of defiance merc and shiver armor i get close to 8k def ... i get like 11+ skill points ... i can get max around 370 MF .... but its wierd cuz i find better items with 300 MF dan 370 MF .. funny isnt it? my fcr hits above 63% and my fhr is pretty damn godly

That looks something like my first sorc. I had points all over the place, and too many points where I shouldn't have had them. I think it was a good thing cause I learned what everything looked like and how to use it. The good news is that you can build another one really fast. There's a guy in the SPF (Dune is his name, I think) that can take his chars (Blizzsorcs) to Hell HF in 3-4 hours.

You gear is fine, but for MFing, I'd say thrown on an Occy and Ptopazed Shako.

Doesnt look so bad if you're just using it for MF (Mephisto). It lacks versatility to get through the whole game.

I would have invested in max Teleport instead of Warmth. A 2-pt Teleport saves you on Mana so you can do without Warmth.

If necessary give your Merc an Insight. Some people also like to give him Kelpie Snare (75% slow enemy) so Mephisto hardly moves at all.

Read the Frozen Orb MF guide in the stickies; that's pretty good.

@ OP: my question would be what issues are you having? It sounds like multiple wrongs have made a right here. You've got res, defense, mf, mana pool and regen, the right breakpoints, tricked out merc, decent gear and the capacity to improve it.
