Anyone interested in trying Classic?

Incentive: Character will come in useful if you ever want to HF rush.

Softcore, zenith. I can host in the future and will be untwinked.

I just use another shortcut zenith one without the mods but it shouldn't matter. I'm a bit tired to host tonight but I'll likely throw a game up tomorrow evening.

hehe good, because i don't have any classic gear to twink with! does it matter if i have RRM/RWM on, as there are no runes in classic?

I asked about the version because if it's 1.00 I CBF doing multiple installations.

As to why I stirred the topic, I'm somewhat interested in classic myself.

I do play but yes it is 1.11b LoD Classic. If that makes sense. (I untick the expansion box).

That makes sense. Last time i played classic i tried 1.07, but i would like to see what 1.11b classic is like.

I just have question regarding your incentive, Thyad.

If I make a Classic rusher, I can rush lvl 1 chars to Hell, right?
Then i could convert them to Expansion, and go do the forges.
This would bypass the ancients level restrictions, wouldn't it?

@ Alecz yes that is true, however for them to be in Hell once you change they need to have finished act 2 hell.

I am interested in HC classic if anyone else is (although my HC experience is fairly low)

Uh .. well, it was originally just a wild idea when posting into sticky, but hell..

I would like to try it. And finish it. Not for rushing/running though, just for fun. Last time I played classic it was like 1.07 .. so .. im not against SC/HC in fact I dont care that much. 1.12a RRM/RWM (ok, but I HAVE them installed, so thats why I mention them). During the week I can host (I guess, not sure about linux firewall).

Another two people will be considered success and we can start a newchar group of three :)

I could be in, depending on when its being hosted (its currently 12:40am here on the East Coast of Australia).

I have a solution for your linux firewall problem too:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables stop
chkconfig iptables off

Ok, kind of a solution.
