So this might seem off topic at first, but it gets to the point.
So i went to a Game Crazy/Gamestop/EB Games, forget which one... but anyways i went there and bought Command And Conquer for my 360. Dude at the counter laughed at me and said, "You cant buy that game for a consle."
I could care less about his opinion on whether i can, or cannot play a RTS game on a consle, but its when I said, "I cant wait for Starcraft 2 to come out."
Thats when he got me pissed. He said, "Blizzard is never gonna come out with Starcraft 2," and he went on about Diablo 3 as well, "You could count on the world ending before they come out with Diablo 3....... Starcraft 2 is farther along than Diablo 3, and with Bush still in presidency for a while, you can bet the world will end in a holocaust before he gets out of office..."
I gave him the stink eye and left with my game....
what a shame, thats just poor customer service
I always buy my games from newegg, but if I'm forced to hit up EB for dirt cheap used games, the cashiers are always overly friendly.. never rude like that. They're supposed to push their overpriced semi-used "new" games, not harass you about blizzard.

EB has been douches to me a few times too.
I asked if Castlevania: Curse of Darkness was a good game, and the guy said "Yeah man, its Castlevania, its great."
"But, then why are there so many in the used bin?"
Because we're just overstocked on the game no one is buying it.
And yeah he was basically lying to me. Its a pos game, nothing compared to symphony of the night or anything cool like that.
Ah well, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, and they're not going to fool me twice. I'll just read the review before I waste money on their lying store clerks.
Never....ever trust a clerk when it comes to a game.....they are always trying to sell things to you....hence why he told you it was great.
Haha, I would never trust store clerks. I work at a blockbuster and our main focus is trying to sell used movies and games. I usually just make things up to make them sound appealing.

"Blizzard is never gonna come out with Starcraft 2,"...
lol. hahahahaa..
It's been a long time since I've shopped at EB but I had similar experiences. There was a puzzle game that was coming out and I called them to see if they had it and they go on the phone literally said the game sounds stupid based just on the title.
Thanks for your opinion, but I know what I want.
What kind of customer service is that?

It's EB/Gamestop. What more would you expect since most of the employees do nothing but game then go online to talk/whine about games. I almost got lynched when I casually walked into one, bought DW6, then, when told PS3 sucked, nonchalantly stated, "Better than 360 basing themselves on the overhyped stale game of Halo 3."
The ENTIRE store got quiet. Kinda hilarious :D.

The clerk had a point.
RTS and console do not mix.

omg its the store owner himself :)
RTS on a console is like playing paintball with a boulder attached to your leg...
Should of just told him to gander over to blizzards page...they wouldn't put it up if it wasn't going to release soonish...though he does have a point about the bush thing...oh well...

.
i have a modded xbox360 and i download my games for free, and i have 3 year old computer , which cant run **** properly, so playing paintball with a boulder attached to my leg isnt half bad at all once u get used to it. not bad at all.

Hahaha, nice. Halo... ugh. Have the majority of people never played a quality FPS? Maybe on a PC?
People always ask me to play Halo and I'm like no thanks... don't like it. All I ever hear is "you don't like it because you aren't good at it!" I just smile and say "no, the game brings nothing to the table, and if I could play with a mouse and a keyboard, I'd jump in and rape you, tell you how boring it was, and then go play something worth spending my time playing."

Sounds like excuses for why you suck at Halo to me.
Ah well, there's always going to be those people who hate things because they're popular.

I don't play the game so I don't expect to be great at it. I don't even want to play the game, it's just a mediocre game. If I played with a group of people who never play it, just like me, I would bet that I would dominate them. On top of that, I would be willing to bet that I could put in the time and effort to play on a high skill level, that I could make it to the top. I still wouldn't like it though, because it's not that great of a game.
As for hating something because it's popular, you're a fool. I enjoy things that are popular that are actually worthy of being popular and worthy of having hype around them. Not something that is a rehash of itself and everything else around it. I don't hate Halo, I don't hate it's following. If anything, I just feel sorry for all of the people who think it's the greatest thing ever. I feel sorry for them because there are games out there that do everything it does plus more, have been doing it a much longer time, and they still, after x time, do it better than Halo does.

Both times I bought something from EB Games the people have been really nice. The second time I bought some, I was going up to pay and then I talked to the cashier for a bit, and she ended up giving me a discount.

Exactly as I was saying...
well i went into gamestation to purchase a wii sports i ended up paying an extra £200 on games and extras that i was told were great most of them i rarely use and i only play wii sports with the wife and kid, i also brought a 360 for the pending release of gta4 which a few days later it was delayed until april that kind of stank
as for fprs and rts games you cant appreciate them properly unless you have a mouse and 500 hot keys
