Ok, here's another hint.

UK magazine 'edge' has a special formula on the last page of the June issue:

Y + 8 = ?

That's all. It's the only thing that is on that page. Nobody knows what they will have in their July issue.

The formula can mean anything, but for me, it means
Year Diablo II shipped + 8 = Diablo 3
or
June 29, 2000 + 8 (Years) = June 29, 2008

edge also had a hint to half-life 2 in 2004, a few weeks before it was anounced by valve. it was just a crowbar that formed a '2' with its shadow.This is a quote from someone on some other forums. I thought you might find it interesting, I sure did.

I also went to look on the Edge forums, but nobody's been talking about the formula there.

Anyone care to speculate?

I don't get it either. That Y could be anything, then just add 8.

Y could be something happened to a person x date and +8 can be 8 weeks later which is 2 weeks from now. How you got DIII out from that is simply amazing :shocked:

Hmm, someone mentioned this to me about 2 hours ago...at the end of the day, it could mean anything. It could be an alignment code for the page or it could come down to something that represents a simple formula -

Y + 8 =?

Text + Number = Mixture

It could mean anything or it’s just something that editors put there to F**K with peoples heads?

Also, someone brought this so called "Formula" to my attention -

2 + 2 =?
12 - 3 =?
2 / 2 =?
-2 + 4 =?
6 + 1 =?
5 * 3 =?
C =?

Simple equations -

2 + 2 = 4
12 - 3 = 9
2 / 2 = 1
-2 + 4 = 2
6 + 1 = 7
5 * 3 = 15
C = I didn’t understand this one until I put the answers together -

4 9 1 2 7 15 C

Change those numbers in letters -

D I A B L O 3

The three is (Im guessing the odd one out)

-These "Formula's are just games other people play on each other. Then again, yours might be true as could this but until there is logical proof, it’s only what you think. But at the end of the day, it could mean anything ^^ Just wanted to that point accross :D
