View Full Version : Crafting/Horadric Cube
I am curious to know if there will be any type of crafting in D3 and if so will it be via the Cube?
I always thought it added alot to the game and is very versatile and simple. I hope we get more info soon!

I agree and I think that crafting could be taken to a whole new level and pushed into more customization. (like adding sockets to a crafted weapon or choosing the mods you want through certain ingredients instead of random stuff and preset mods already chosen for you)
a ton of room to expand upon this. We will see what blizz does.

Don't see why hadradric cube shouldn't make a return. Deckard Cain is here, and Lut Golein as I see is on the map. This can be told about any feature which worked well in D2. Socketing, runewords, crafting... provide any good reason it shouldn't be in the game.

I think itīll be there. As ESFE pointed out, the Horadric cube was one of the best ideas in DII, so I donīt see any reason why it shouldnīt be in.

They should return it, but IMO they should change it a lot. I hoped D3 was like D2, but now that everybody sees that it is not I think they should keep too much stuff from D2. A new generation of Diablo is coming. Let's welcome it with open arms.

I have no doubts that crafting will return to DIII, however I doubt very much that it will be with the cube. Consider the anvil from DI... it disappeared in DII, and I am betting that the cube will as well... but no one will care because they will have replaced it with something even sweeter.
That may be so, but the cube also had invaluable storage space, I just hope they have that aspect well thought out also.

you are correct about the storage space... perhaps they have found a way to fix that issue... maybe actually have purchasable chests, or maybe, since we will have the ability to have more than one ally at a time, perhaps they can carry some items.
