Mephisto and Baal

Two questions: Do you think we will meet Mephisto and Baal in Diablo 3? Do you want to meet them in Diablo 3?

Seeing how they can bring Diablo back, even though we allready killed him, they shouldn't have any problems with these two if they wish to include them in the game. I am torn. Diablo wouldn't feel the same without them, but I guess it would be kind of repetitive with them.

I'd like to meet them, atleast Mephisto, he's always been my favourite bad guy, but who knows? I guess they'll be replaced as act bosses by Azmodan and Belial.

Mephisto has to be in....who else am I going to kill until the end of time for drops until Act 5 is added and we have pindleskin :P

Baal is easy. His stone was never actually destroyed, unless the Worldstone counts (which, for the sake of bringing him back, it doesn't have to).

Meph is a little bit more difficult. Not only was he killed, but his stone was smashed. However, if they can find a viable way to bring Diablo back then Meph would work as well, and likely be back by default.

Diablo without Diablo isn't Diablo. Diablo without Mephisto IS Diablo.
IMO, new game means new act Bosses. Since Meph can't really change, it'd be boring. The whole point is waiting and fighting your way to see the bigass Boss.

Id prefer to see Azmodan and Belial, if they are still in existence. Ambitious Lesser Evils given a chance to shine while Diablo is gaining his strength to rise again.

I won't complain if we see Mephisto and Baal again, but ive done enough runs on those 2 guys, id like to farm someone different this time around :D

I prefer to see the lesser evils than Diablo again. Come on guys how many times do we have to kill him to actually get rid of him. It's becoming a pointless thing to do if he comes back again...

After we did Diablo, Baal and Mephisto in Uber trist.
I really hope they bring nothing less as final boss.

I hope we get new act bosses yes. But we need something epic as final boss. Otherwise its just gonna be an anticlimax.

And yeah. i know the old, How many times do we have to kill this dude.

Well unless they wanna keep the franchise going forever they have to come up with a way to get rid of him or make it impossible to access sanctuary. Mind u its not a problem for me if they keep making diablo games until i get old :D

Two questions: Do you think we will meet Mephisto and Baal in Diablo 3?Short answer? Yes, I think we'll see them again. In what form, however, I have totally no idea. My personal feeling is the Azmodan and Belial will lead the forces of Hell initially in the game, with the Big 3 slowly becoming resurgent, lead by Big D. Meph and Baal may appear only as warmup fights for Diablo, but I think they'll be there.

Why not? It'll be nostalgic. :D I don't think any of this story stuff will lead to repetitive gameplay. We face Diablo in D1 and D2, and there was nothing repetitive about that. As long as Blizzard make it feel new and exciting - which I don't doubt they will - it'll be another chance for strategy discussions and ph4t l3wt!1!1 :p

They aren't dead. They've been banished from the mortal realm. Destroying the soulstones didn't kill them, it destroyed their ability to manifest in the mortal world.
