Well even though this should maybe be officially posted in the witchdoctor section - I figured Id post it in the ability thread.

Anyway, something came to my mind the other night and I was thinking about a special ability in which no Diablo game has yet implemented.

I was thinking what if a possible class in D3 (most likely witchdoctor) would have a special skill (in the skill tree) such as "revive" similar to the necromancers monster revive - only to help other players. I was thinking possibly the Witchdoctor could have this spell available, it would take a large amount of mana (maybe some health or so) to "revive" a fallen character so they would not have to restart back in town? They could eventually get back up in the spot they fell and continue on the quest!

What do you think? I think it would be pretty solid, AS LONG as it requires a huge amount of either health/mana or something to make it so it is not abusable. Maybe the character would be brought back to life with certain health/mana.

For Example
"Revive Lv 1: Characters brought back to life with 2% health/mana" "Lv 2: Brought back with 4% health/mana"

Just like other spells, it could grow very, very strong.

Just a thought. =)

What if Hardcore mode is implanted? That would make that spell useless.

Correct, but could possibly be disabled in hardcore, obviously. It's just an idea, but it looks like a cool one, if you think about it. Although, people would be bugging the heck outta witchdoctors each time they die and could cause conflict -.-
