Diablo Storyline Tombs - bring em back!!

I would very much like to see Blizzard bring back the storyline and quest tomes from Diablo 1. :thumbup:

The guys voice is superb, perfect for the Diablo world - adds a very dark tone and also tells the background storyline. Hell, Diablo 3 is going to have bosses based on a Diablo 1 tome. (see storyline forum (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=652464)). I also thought it was great when you'd hear your characters voice reading the quest tombs like the book of the blind (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K-7oNGJulI)

Unfortunately Diablo 2 only had a few of these tomes, but hopefully they'll add more in Diablo 3!

Even though Lazarus is dead, it doesn't mean he didn't write books we haven't read yet! Take Diablo 2 for example- from what i recall, the countess tomb was the same voice.

I think it would be great if they added more Tomes written by Lazarus to tell part of the new storyline that we haven't heard about it. As i mentioned before, Belial and Azmodan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aY41BdGnbE) were introduced by Lazarus, so why not have him go into some horrific depth similar as his descriptive tomes of Diablo? :evil:

sounds good i think... they already have a plan for the tomes to be read aloud and kept for later reference i do believe. so i dont really know what ur asking for... just the same voiceover actor to come back and do more?

I memorised that poem from Diablo, and I was remembering it for a long time before I forgot. Now you woke up some good memories ;)

Tomes were indeed great. But it was kind of a plot-explaining mechanism due to the lack of ... well other things who could explain the plot. In Diablo II there was only one tome for quest 4 in act I (tower) and much of the story came from the NPCs and cinematics, which there were far less in Diablo I.

That said, we probably won't see much tomes :(

Actually, didn't they say that there would be tomes, which were actually read out loud for you? I know I remember this.

i thought i saw Leord? say in the live chat that there was infact tomes in game (one of leoric talking about his son) and you can even put the tomes into your inventory? anyway if i read that correctly then thats great news imo
