I'm not sure if anybody here has played the game Two Worlds, but there was a feature in that game that i liked very much.

Stackable Items (Primarily weapons and armor), was a very handy ability that saved room, boosted my weapon/armor's stats and was an overall help to me in-game.

Basically, you would only be able to stack weapons and armor that are EXACTLY THE SAME. So if you had two pairs of cracked boots, you would be able to forge them saving room and increasing stats (very little, mind you).

The amount of times you are able to stack items would depend on the value of the item. Super rare uniques and set would probably not be able to be stacked, verses crack gloves that could be stacked up to ten times.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hmmmm... It would surely give more value to find again and again the same useless stuff lol

Ehhh, it would quickly become exploited. Imagine being able to stack say....3 cruel swords filled with shael runes, the result would be rediculous amounts of dmg and ias.

It would start to get out of control and people would be producing things that will be too over the top. I'm not familiar with Two Worlds though, so if they can make it work...

Well the guy said that the increase would be minimal, not something game breaking. Plus i think if its implemented unique ones should be stackable

It could be a simpler version of Two worlds where stacking just brings the item closer to a perfect roll.It might go up by say 1-10% over the highest item stat (1 item has 8 str other has 10 Str the outcome is 11 str).

On second thoughts this could destroy trading because people would be able to get there own perfect items?

Well, you coudl trade for the items to stack and when you get the perfect stats you no longer need to trade. And if you find an item with perfect stats you don't need any more.
But I doubt this will find its way into D3. It would be a blatant rip off of 2Worlds and AFAIK it is the only game with this feature?
