I have to agree.
The feel is more GW than WoW to me, except for the horrible shoulder pads when the barb gets a set of armour.
That is a good point, I knew WoW was cartoony but didn't realise how cartoony. Hmmm ... I intially thought that D3 looked somewhat WoW like, I think I have to agree with the OP now.

Hahaha WoW is so lame.
When I thought about it, it was the buggiest game I've ever been playing.
Not like by a bit, it's like buggier by 500% then the second.
And bosses fight just look retarded, like 40 small things smashing that big thing that gives a blow once in a while, so you just have to heal the main tank and AoE all of the other "surprises". WoW is so lame.

What do you mean? Those 2 images look pretty much orignial, I don't see what would be photoshopped about it.

First off, both images are real and untouched. Second, for a game the size of WoW, and accomplishing the technical feats that it does, it runs very smooth as of patch 2.4.3.
To address the original issue, who cares if D3 borrows from WoW? I'm glad it has borrowed ideas such as 1 item-per-slot, a revamped upper-right hand minimap, action-bar at the bottom, etc... I pose the question, why should Blizzard not borrow from it's own property that has nearly 13 million subscribers?
On the contrary, I can only hope that D3 is just as big of a success!
Yeah. All people who kinda paid attention to how WoW actually looks like and then looked at D3 kinda knew that. The most Warcrafty thing in the D3 trailer were the shoulder pads and the green tone of the dungeon. That's it.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a point between those two pictures, but the videos I've seen of D3 have been more vivid and I can't believe someone would play a game that looks like is made completely of eye strain. Maybe it's just the video sources and I'm wrong but they both look tweaked to me.

By saying that you think he photoshopped those images, you may as well say that he does not have a point.

WoW is huge guys, it has practically every colour scheme you can imagine... I don't have any screenshots of caves, but *gasp* they do look greyish! And from what I've seen from the video and playing WoW since 6 months after it launched it's quite different.
The photoshop comment has nothing to do with points, I just think they look tweaked. That. Is. All.

Why do you always call people on these forum's liars and such? That's all I see you do. Not cool. But yeah, WoW is cartoony, but it has to be since it changed what MMORPG's look and feel like. The first pictures where not photoshopped. I remember when that WoW picture came out.

My bad then. I commend people for being able to play during those brighter moments. Or maybe I have sensitive eyes. It's like looking at a bunch of snow for me.

I agree that there is some WoW influence in the game. I don't mind spells, names, and play system too much. But what bothers me is the art direction. Sure, a lot of the characters and monsters are original yes, i agree with that. However, if you notice in the beginning of the demo video, it seems that the artist of these monsters isn't getting very much inspiration. The berserkers resemble Skolls in some aspect. The most disturbing are the cultists, which resemble my Undead Warlock WAY too much. I saw the video and thought my character was there (purple lich king robes, and a purple cap). I know the game is not WoW and I hope some of these monsters are just fillers (considering that there are WC3 sounds in the demo).

I don't like the art direction at all. Just look at the Dark summoner that was just posted, these guys look exactly like the humans in The Sims. They walk exactly like them. This whole game is going to be like The Sims, and is going to suck.

Blizzard should cross reference monster and character art against every possible combination of armor in WoW just to make sure this doesn't happen.

Is it really that silly? Is it more silly than people complaining about the cursor? In fact, both them aren't if given someone gives a reason on "why" they think so. I'm sorry but calling an argument "silly" is much worse. A simple, I disagree, would cause less fuss than telling someones ideas are imprudent.
Just a note for the future because, there are users who are much more fussier than I can be.

Cultists are torn complete from Activision's - Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption. But, seriously,it's not a big deal, everything's been done.. minor tweaks, renewal.. whatever.. oh and I like the larger shoulder pads..
