I think it would be a GREAT idea if an integrated voice communication system was implemente on D3. How much fun would it be to communicate with other guys in your party with a simple press of a button/key and just talking via a microphone? This has been implemented on other games already.Systems like these shouldnt add much lag to the game: see Half Life 1 and Half Life 2 and other games where this has been implemented. Thoughts?

P.S. If someone has an acct active with bnet and cares to post this on the official D3 forums please do so on my behalf. I really dont have any bnet accts active at the moment and cant register on those forums. Its been ages since I play SC and D2 so all my accts are dead.

BTW. I would really like this only with two conditions:
-Only those on your team will be able to hear you.
-A handy mute button is added where you can mute ANYONE you want.

*Both of these should prevent or at least aleviate some of the hassles with having voice integrated into a game. Such as... having noobs go into games and just blasting loud music or annoying sounds just to tick people off.

i agree with wobbegong on this 1 it is annoying when sum 1 puts on music and you can hear it in the backgroung (unless it's a good song xD) so you should be able 2 mute anyone you want i also agree that you should be able to talk to party members but put an optional key for full pub talk and team only talk

I do not understand what you do mean by ''team-only should be able to hear you''.
If you're on a game, you play with people (which I believe you call a team).
So what does it exclude?

Beside, I am up for it. If there'd be some button to button to mute (and maybe change volume scale of someone), that'd just be awesome.

Maybe even some voice chat rooms, like public (current channel), friends-only (whenever) and team (in-game) that you can join and leave quickly, with some notifier saying about who currently talks, connects and disconnects. All that in a quick menu, which shows current people in that voice chat room.

In PvP there could be two teams, with two people on each side. You wouldn't want your plans and stuff to be heard by the enemy..

I think VOIP is a cool idea

with the team only thing the deal with that is if there is sum 1 outside of the party that you dont want to hear you then you can select to talk to party only. or if you're doing a team pvp game then you dont want the other team 2 hear u
