Walk faster/run hack for Diablo 1

I have been looking for a way to make my char move faster in D1, and I'm stuck. I have messed with character editors and searched for mods/patches, but nothing.

I know there is a boost in Hellfire, but I was hoping to simply up the walk speed with an add-on/hack of some sort right from the start of the original Diablo game.

Any ideas?
