i am thinking a warrior who is powered by the blood of his enemies, I will attempt to elaborate using a three tree D2 type skill layout, as everyone can visualize this. Please excuse the clumsy naming Off the top of my head I have no cooler sounding names

tree 1: combat
basic melee skills which would allow you to kill the enemies required to superpower yourself... endless possibilities here really

tree 2: blood buffs
buy killing enemies with your combat skills you can use there energy to buff yourself increasing melee, spell, and defensive powers. ie: blood drenched armour(could have cool crimson visual) which would increase your defense but would be lost when you repair/leave game

tree 3: Blood frenzy
powerful spells that could only be cast after killing the required enemies... projectiles and even summons could be included. ie: kill 20 enemies and unleash there blood in a tidal wave of destruction. low level skills could be a single bolt or whatever.

any thoughts on this class idea, i am thinking it could be a differnet element of play...

oh and obviously you could turn into an angel or demon at will, that makes tons of sense for this series.

how about when you're fighting a boss and you have 19 kills? Wouldn't that be annoying?

Something like this could work if bosses had summons and adds that you had to deal with constantly.

I would love to see the return of Blood Star from D1.

I think this would also satisfy those who want to see a less "good" character in D3, particularly the ones who were in love with the necro and hate the WD.

Another cool thing would be if the blood based caster had spells that cast out of his HP instead of mana, and his mana served a different purpose... perhaps.

Only problem I see is that it is very similar to the class "Bloodletter" from the Flagship studios game "Mythos". Given that the two games have a lot of common heritag and have been closely associated it could seem as a ripoff in many ways. (the bloodletter had melee skills, buffs acquired from bleeding foes, bloodbased projectiles and summons)

yeah but I doubt that will ever come out now as FSS is toast.
