Firstly, I think that unless you specifically state that you want your new character to play untwinked (much like when you choose whether to play Hardcore or not) each of your characters should have access to your accounts communal stash. ie You shouldn't have to perm games for muling purposes.

eg I just lost the benefit of a socketing quest, a good item, and the PTopaz I was going to put in it for MFing for no good reason due to a ridiculous temporary ban.

I wasn't trying to bot, or stuff up battle.net in any way. It's not my fault that I can't mule without quitting and rejoining games multiple times and I shouldn't get temp banned for it, losing my items in the process.

There is a reason that ATMA was created.

Secondly, it should be made easier to Trade. You should be able somehow to say: 'I have X and I want to trade it for Y' and post that message on a communal notice-board.

eg I often make games called '40 PGems for Pul'. I have to wait around until someone notices and clicks on that game. If, on the other hand, another player who had a Pul and wanted 40 PGems for it could just insert their own trading parameters in a "Trade-search", and then click on an "accept proposed transaction" icon it would be much easier.

These are good ideas.

One way to go about the communal stash would be to make a house in the starting town, a house unique to your character's where you can just throw stuff. Different character on the same account can enter the same house. it might be problematic to code in mutliplayer, maybe a single-player only function?

Muling would be so much easier. Just create a single player game, enter your house, throw your stuff on the floor, exit and you are done.

Great idea. I know ive lost a few items from muling. Even with a friend, all my stuff would be on the floor then... we both get disconnected. I really hope they do something like this with the stash

I like the idea of a account-wide "house". How about this, on battle.net, when you create a game, you have the option of visiting your "house". It'd be a single map with vendors that only sold very basic items (potions, keys, scrolls, tomes, repair, etc), and would have one stash for each of your characters, labeled "KillerPalaly's Stash" and so forth. You could move items and gold between them easily, and the changes would be reflected in each of your character's stashes. This wouldn't provide infinite storage, as there would still be drive to find bigger bags (if they do indeed go the bag-system route).

I like it! Though on battle.net the house thing could get a bit strange.

That's a good idea, AlexanderM. It would allow people who wanted to play untwinked to keep their stuff seperate as well (without locking them into it if they decided to change later on).

It would be even better if that 'house-level' contained a trading notice-board (much like the real-life ones where you can tear off a persons phone number).

Thanks for the comments, everyone.
