I never see anyone in battle.net chat channels, even though it lists 150-200 people playing the game online. Is there some secret chat channel that I'm not aware of or are everyone just busy playing the game?
How about of making our own meet-up channel there? I found out that diii.net is restricted, though :)
Oh, and also, is there different realms like in D2? Such as Europe, US West, US East and Asia? Or are we all able to play with eachother now?

there's realms alright, but i just tested it, and you can play your char at all realms (eg. a char you usually play in europe can be played in another realm) but you need to make a new account on all realms... and i don't know what happens to your friends list, but i suppose it'll be empty too... but we can play together :P
also, my diablo says i can only join the given channels with this game, thus for a diii channel you'd need to agree on a channel to use... I'll check my available channels in a sec, and will edit my post...
EDIT:
"Chatting with this game is restricted to the channels listed in the channels menu."
the listed channels ive got are:
Blizzard Tech Support
Open Tech Support
Beginners Only
Town Square
Trading Post
Adventurers Wanted
Bounty Hunters
Guild Recruitment
Guild Members
Warriors Arena
Rogues Gallery
Socrers Tower
Veterans Lounge (L20+)
The Black Lounge (L30+)
Hell's Caretakers (L30+)
Diablo NLD-1
I suppose the last one is specific to me (as im from the dutch), but you should have the others too, so we could just choose one to be our channel...

Thanks for the tip, even though I have no clue what LE means :> Guess I'm just slow in the morning..
But we can't see games in other realms, right? That sucks. With modern internet connections we could very well play with each others. I guess one could hop realms and look for games, but it seems troublesome.
Oh, and when it lists people playing the game, is it just your realm or all realms?

I was told diablo le also. That's a group of players that supposedly only play legit and many of them never gave up on the original.

LE channel tends to have legit players no dupes or hackes.
From that I remember and had read it started as a guild channel Legit Elites (they are still active on D1) and then grew to a Legit player safe haven.

This only applies to Public games, right? If we all agreed on a private game with a pass, any one of us could join, ne?
