opening menu

can someone post a screenshot of the opening menu? I can't get Diablo1 to install on my copy of XP and when i run it in ubuntu with wine the opening screen doesn't display correctly. It's been long enough that I don't remember where the buttons are there.

There's a known buh with wine and directdraw, wich makes the display black (at least, it was like that here...) whatever your problem is, i do not think it's only the main menu... I installed windows XP just to be able to play D1, and here it works... what does it say? I can' t make a screenshot atm, as I'm on another pc...

i'm currently triple-booting a mac so I have a lot of problems running older games on my XP side for some reason. I don't remember what the error was now but I think it just wouldn't install on the XP side. As far as trying again with wine, checking the wine website for diablo1 http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3498 makes it seem as though since the release of wine 1.0 it should be working well.

the hacked ddraw.dll should solve the directdraw bug, but i didn't use it, mainly because i didn't want to look for it... and if its a perfect solution, it' d be in the main wine release, wouldn' t it?

the download location is at the bottom of that page. haven't tried playing it yet but downloading it made the menu appear for me.
