For those that absolutely abhor the new art direction, and in the likely event Blizzard does not drastically change production, most video cards allow for the creation of "profiles" in which you can manually adjust various display settings, effectively allowing one to at least more closely achieve the visual effect one desires in Diablo III. More often than not, these profiles can be tied to specific programs such that, after setting it up, no further action is necessary (i.e. upon launching DIII the settings are automatically changed). Here are some quick examples of what can be achieved by briefly tinkering with the settings:

As everyone's preferences differ, though this may not be your ideal, chances are you could tweak it more to your liking. And just to avoid confusion, I myself like the current look, though I do hope this is the least evil-infected area and it gets "grungier" as we progress to the truly tainted lands.

good idea. i think this is the solution to everyone who is complaining about the colors. you could easily setup your video card colors to a hotkey, and you can hit the hotkey to change the colors in the areas that you do not like.

i think even Nvidia 8400 is minimum for making game work at the quality level.
