I really glad Blizz came out and said this. Honestly, I don't want to play the classes that I already played to death in D2. And maybe this will shut up the whiners who want the Necro back instead of the Witch Doctor (who looks very unique and promising IMO)

The same quotation that keeps confirming this floating around on all those articles is: "Wilson says that there are absolutely no plans to bring back any other classes in the initial release" and that isn't even from the horses mouth but paraphrased itself, after he says the necromancer for sure isn't coming back out of the other remnant classes, which makes me think he's redoubling over his thinking, in the quote though he doesn't explicitly say there won't be more familiar classes, just no plans whatsoever on any particular one.

I hope it is the case though, we don't need the rollover of preconceived notions of diablo class favoritism ;-P
