I just found a Obsidian Long War Bow with 40% resist all (from normal hell). AFAIK these are pretty rare, since no guide aims for one, just for prefixes with lower @. Or are people looking to get resists from bows from suffixes - is it even possible?

Too bad the bow doesn't have a suffix. Still it was a lot better than my amber long war bow with 20% resists all :)

So, could some veterans say if I actually found something rare?

Also, 75% = MAX resists, right?

I don't know how rare it is, probably pretty rare.

Resistances of all types (individual element or 'all') only come from prefixes.

It is possible to find an Emerald LWB, which has up to 50% resist all.

75% resist all is maximum, yes.

Ah, I confused Obsidian being the best @ prefix, since it is so with jewelry. I had read a guide with information about emerald bows and automatically thought that if it's not obsidian, it's worse -> obsidian can't be found on bows or is so rare that it's not healthy to try and find it.

Thank you for correcting me :)

well it really depends on the rest of your equipment. with only 3 types of resistance, and lightning far from essential, and seldom more than 1 res needed to max out on a given level (usually fire or magic, but seldom both) maintaining high enough resistances in D1 isn't that hard, esp for a Rogue, fighting from a distance.

Ideally you're rolling with ob/zod jewelry, but that's damn near unfindable, so mixing and matching and switching around on each level is the usual way of things. Generally speaking, 1 jade or obsidian item and then a rotating variety of jewelry like garnet/stars, crystal/heavens, etc will get you through 95% of situations. giving up say, heavens on a bow, for obsidian, is something like 20 hps/mana and 4-5 min/max damage. Not a huge sacrifice, and probably worth if it you're adding 20% res all and taking a lot of hits from advocates, witches, etc.
