MY only problems with the timeline is the lack of everything but the games..... let's include some more lore! Blizzard should include the books so that we can at least decide some of the future major characters like Imperius, Inarius, The Angrius(?) Council, Belial, Azmodan, the Necromancers, Trang Oul, ect..... ANYTHING! this is driving me nutz with all the different possibilitiessss..... need coffee

Yeah, I was also surprised they didn't include relevant details from the books. And Cain is really old.

Cain may very well be old, but I'm sure he knows how to get the ladies.... but, yeah, why not include the lore of the books.
they didn't feel like it...or it would be too relevant and may reveal too much information regarding d3 that they don't wnt released as of yet would be my guess...anyone got a better one?

There.
Corrected.
According to the book, Trang' Oul is actually spelled as Trag 'Oul , he is supposed to be a dragon.
Izual sounds to me like Inarius.
The Angiris Council imprisoned Inarius after Uldyssian Ul-Diomed defeated him in a battle. Uldyssian Ul-Diomed is the brother of Mendelm Ul-Diomed, the first necromancer. He is given the name Kalan by Trag 'Oul/Trang' Oul. Rathma is an ancient who teaches Mendeln the art of necromancy.
The Angiris Council signed an agreement with Mephisto, to leave Sanctuary to choose its own path, to resist evil, or to be evil.
They handed over Inarius to Mephisto.

It was also mentioned that Inarius wasn't destroyed or laid to rest.... fairly enough he met some other vicious fate.....
"He bound Inarius with tremendous chains and slowly tore the wings from the back of the angel. Great barbed hooks were then used to stretch out the once glowing skin and his features were distorted by vile powers. Many of the followers of Inarius were given as gifts to Baal and Diablo, but the rest were molded to match the bloated image of the now crippled angel. To this day, Inarius is said to be trapped in Hell within a chamber of mirrors, his eyelids torn from his face as he is forced to gaze upon his misshapen form for all eternity. His misguided followers now serve as Hell's taskmaster taking the anguish of their lost glory out upon the bodies of others." - Diablo 1 manual
I look at Inarius as one the most powerful characters in the Diablo lore.... I doubt we will see him again. However! It would definantly be an interesting story if we did. Maybe even a grand quest of some sort. His reason for return? Well why not revenge or anger? He knows more about Sanctuary than anything else possibly (maybe Trang oul knows some more), so if there was a question needing an answer, I'm sure whoever has that question would be looking for an answer to him. Just imagine the cool factor of seeing him as he is now.... that be a sight for sorry eyes..... But yeah, sorry my bad on typing errors or whatever, it's getting later by the minute. OH, one last thing. It'd be great if they release some more info on the books so we could know which will be included in the future. But, like posted above, they won't want to reveal too much! The story is actually one of the best parts of Diablo!
