I was just wondering in the upcoming D3, will we be able to refine items? Like most other games, I think they should be able to refine the items and with each refine the percentage of success rate decreases substantially~

For instance a weapon may go to +1 with a 100% success rate
+2 with 100% success rate
+3 with 100% success rate
+4 with 80% sucess rate etc etc

and the success rate should also depend on the level of the item. Higher the level of the item, lower the success rate of refining.

Well basically in D3, I'm not sure whether hit rate plays a part or not. I remember in D2, I never missed. But, if there is hit rate, then refining the weapon should increase the hit rate and attack. =D

MOST other games? :O

I think I've seen that once, couldn't tell you which game it was though.

Hopefully there's some way of improving items (from what I can tell there's no official info on this yet), but I think I prefer a method which requires other items to one that just takes gold.

I agree that more weapon customization should be added. I mean, in D2 you could get a weapon with some amazing mods, but the damage might have been lacking because it was missing the % enhanced dmg mod (was it called Cruel? Not sure...)

A new system where you could essentially "enchant" or "reinforce" weapons would be cool.
